"This school dropped my 5 year old girls off at the wrong bus stop. Then they kept me on the phone assuring me that they had taken my kids back to the school. They also lied and told me they had notified the police. After an hour of frantically driving from school to transportation dep. To school I get a call from the metro police department who had found my girls wandering the street. They had no idea or calls from the school. Ridiculous"
"I used to go to this school k thru 5th I had loved this school untill 5th grade most of the teachers had left because of a new principal who was very horrible it was like military school and my teacher Mr.Slater had always made me be first in line with a couple of other kids calling us special when actually I'm a very intelligent student they even cancelled our field trips."
"My 6 yr old was being bullied (punched/hit) daily on his afternoon bus rides (red bus) for over a month, as soon as we found out we reported it as what it was... a bullying incident to the principal on 10/28/2015. By law according to policy 5137 she had 2 days to investigate and file a report then 1 day to make that report available to the parents of all involved. When I went in on 9/9/2015 to ask for a copy of the bully report (since she had "taken care of the situation") I was surprised to find out there was NO report filed at all! NOTHING!! Ms. Chandler took it upon herself to call it "inappropriate behavior" when we reported it as BULLYING! My son will no longer be going to this school with this "principal" illegally running things! I agree with the other reviews.... No wonder most of the teachers left this last school year 2014/15! If the adults can't handle Ms. Chandler then we really need to protect our kids and be their voices! Feel free to contact me if you're going through similar situations and need help with Ms. Chandler or you can also see a copy of the letter I sent to her and the district under my fb... Susie Macias Castillo. I hope none of you or your children are put in these situations by those we trust with our kids! Blessings, Susie"
"Seems like with the new principal change the school has not impressed me for a quality school for my children. They dont seem to want to inform the parents as I believe they should if issues they may have with kids concern them. And I feel like my concern for my daughters need for extra help is being looked over.I use to love this school but for me im starting to think with the changes it is no longer fitting for my kids. Maybe thats why all the teachers left"
"I just found out that two of my grand daughters ages 5 & 6, who attend R. Guild Gray Elementary School, were let off at the wrong bus stop. We are talking about two kindergarten girls. For two hours, no one knew where they were. They ride the Red Bus to and from school every day. They are picked up at 8:32 and dropped off at 3:36, except for today. For your bus driver to have let them off at the wrong stop is unforgivable. Luckily after an hour, my 5 year old grand daughter asked a woman if she could help her find her home. The police were called and they were finally home. I tam so thankful that this story has a happy ending. With all of the terrible things that are happening to our children today, how could this have happened. I was under the impression that your school had taken care not to let this happen to any of your students. Unfortunately, I am in Arizona and not Las Vegas, because I would be able to do so much more to make sure that this problem is taken care of properly and that it never happens to another one of your students. I would like any parent who has a child that rides the Red Bus on the same schedule as my grand daughters to be aware of what has happened today. It could have easily been your child. This is the closest I have been to anything like this. Please do what you can to protect our children and find out how the school you entrust your children to, could have made such a grave error. There are no words to express the fear and anger I am experiencing today. I may not know the outlets needed to see that this is looked into and the bus driver who made the error takes responsibility. For two hours, I felt the horror that so many parents have had the misfortune to experience. I am hoping that I am able to turn my rage into making sure that this does not happen at your school, or any school, in the future.."
