"Hummel has changed a lot this year -_- It’s pretty irritating, Everyone now started cussing out their lungs, and more drama everywhere. Their food taste ok but not as good as “home food”. Stuck here for 2 more months. Lastly, The staffs are freaking ‘rude’ to me for no reason.. (I tried to grab a fork but the staff said put in the trash)"

"My daughter has been attending this school and now my son is currently enrolled. I feel that the staff is doing a great job! The principal (Erica) is always outside when we are picking up kids (in fact almost ALL staff is visible/available at this time). This makes me feel they are very approachable, and I have had many conversations with lots of staff. In fact, my daughter mentioned she has had nice conversations with the principal and the vice principal on the playground. My daughter was in private preschool so I was concerned Hummel would not be challenging enough, but they have really helped her develop in the areas she needed. Her kindergarten teacher (Ms. VanHorn) is amazing!! She really goes all out for her students, keeps parents very well informed, and gets these kids off to an excellent start. I felt they provide a loving & kind learning environment that helps kids build confidence in a diverse world. I am so pleased with this schools enforcement of the "be kind" program because her previous school emphasized competition too much. The kids were getting discouraged. I do feel as a parent, involvement/communication with teachers is key to any great experience. However, you can't expect the teachers to do it ALL! Meaning, they are your kids, so ask them questions & practice skills with them. Help the teachers by SHOWING your kids their schooling is important to you! Pro's: Teachers & staff Fun Field trips coordinated by teachers Be kind in a diverse world Con's: Parking (small area/Placid small street)- avoid it by not being in a rush! Clears out quickly"

"My son has gone through a handful of schools in las vegas but Hummel has stood out from them all. The communication is great between teachers, staff and students. I only hope they allow two separate classes for the students for the next coming year. My second grader has two classes to which he goes in between. This allows him a change of scenery through the day and I enjoy that...Bardol and Wobeck are awesome teachers!"

"My daughter goes here and the teachers make this a great school. The staff is decent but you can tell the teachers love what they do."

"Teachers don't care because the principal is terrible. My daughter was there from the first day Mrs. Etienne showed up and I cannot stand her. She ruined the school and brought down the morale of the teachers. 3 of the teachers my daughter had were underwhelming. You could tell they were just doing their job instead of actually caring. They would not allow me to be involved. I tried helping in class with anything and everything and was constantly brushed off. I honestly believe once Mrs. Etienne leaves the school will be as great as it once was. Don't believe me? Ask how many parents were disgusted and angered by her policy changes and wrote letters. There were lots. And the teachers suffered so the kids suffered. I would like to mention Ms. Bane though. Even after my daughter left her class she was still helpful and wonderful. My daughter still talks about her."
