"Incredible school with an incredible staff! Very fortunate my children go to this school!"
"Don’t know where to start, other than how the cleaning has to be better in so many ways, the amount of times I saw this weird looking green thing on the lunch chairs is crazy, not only that there is also tons of mean students in this school, Many people don’t like this school, and I even know that, I feel like the only genuinely good thing here is when you leave. Recess is well, not the greatest I’d say, and not only that, the footballs basketballs, and volleyballs are all so dirty, this school seems like a joke. Lets not get started with some teachers, Mrs. M for example, (Mrs Montenegro) is literally always so rude to just a select few kids, and also she expects the class your in to always get awesomes in specials, like sure specials are good, but why would ONE ok make it so we can’t have fun friday (which isnt even fun, i’d rather be at home) forever? she already picked out some kids that were “bad” or something when they had a substitude, and guess what? They now get to do nothing for the rest of the school year, what a joke, not only are the teachers mean, staff mean (lets not get started with Ms Obrien of course) and the school is so dirty, the school is just a joke, that’s all I’ll say."
"Please listen to the warnings other students and parents are giving. I really discourage anyone from sending their kids to this school. To start off, reports get absolutely no where. I went here through fourth grade to eighth. I was constantly and consistently bullied by the same person for my stomach and every staff member I told and report I made seems like it was just thrown out. On top of this, in fourth grade one of the counselors came to my fourth grade class and told us to put slips into her mailbox if we ever need emotional help. My father was having huge surgeries at the time so I did that the same day. It was seventh grade when she actually got back to me and she laughed about never responding. I don’t think a single person I knew at that school ever actually got to talk to the counselor when needed. I reported countless times teachers themselves had treated us unfairly. Both Ms Valenzuela and Ms Ferry, for example, would constantly publicly berate me in their classes for needing extra help. Ms Valenzuela went as far as saying my grade to the class and the entire year I had her she put me off in the corner of the room by myself at a cluttered storage table. I was later diagnosed with ADHD, which was obviously the reason I was struggling and instead of helping me she would publicly embarrass me in front of my peers. Ms Ferry would do the same, minus the seating me in the farthest corner. Not only that, but both of those teachers would refuse to let most students go to the bathroom or nurse. Especially if it was a girl on their menstrual cycle. I vividly remember Ms Ferry telling me my cramps couldn’t actually be “that bad” and that I was being dramatic to get out of class (a medical condition related to it runs in my family. so yes, it was “that bad”). Mid winter when I was in sixth grade, they suddenly made the rule you aren’t allowed any cardigans, jackets, hoodies, or anything of the sort on campus. Even if it had the school symbol and was the exact shade. Staff would come into each class everyday and force students who broke this rule to give them their outerwear. Ms O’Brien was hell to encounter, but I won’t say more than that since the rest of the reviews talk about her enough. Mr Grisnik (not sure I spelt it right) was a P.E. teacher i had and he was by far one of the worst. He would make us run for a straight hour every single day. He was constantly angry and taking it out on us. We had very few water breaks and if he saw any of us slow down he would scream at us. Me and another girl had asthma in his class and he hated when we would stop to use our inhalers. If our inhalers were empty, he would say it’s our fault and to keep running without it. There were times I genuinely would dry heave at a trash can from not being able to breathe. You weren’t allowed to go to the bathroom during his class either, even if you were on your period. I begged him once, pleading and pleading to let me go to the bathroom just this once because I was bleeding through my pants and he told me I was allowed to go, but I had to have zero water or inhaler breaks for the entire class period of running. I accepted because I was desperate, and later almost fainted from heat exhaustion and being unable to breathe without my inhaler. Got hurt? Run it off, you’re fine. It was terrible. There was a substitute i forgot the name of, but we all called her Tesla lady because all she did was talk about her tesla. She would refuse to teach us anything that the teacher left for her to instruct. She wouldn’t let us do our school work. She genuinely forced us to pay attention to whatever tesla related video she was showing us. She also had a boat whistle she would blow to get our attention and would rummage through the teachers belongings. There is so many more horror stories I have of this school. I beg you do not under any circumstances send your child here unless it’s your final option. Listen to what your child tells you happens behind closed doors at this school and raise absolute hell about it."
"ZERO STAR REVIEW!!! Well done Doral Saddle PTSO. You say you are thrilled to have us and encourage us to attend the school's informal open house, at 11am, (really) but did you consider working parents. You say it is crucial that we are involved. As a first time Kindergarten parent I look forward to being involved as much as I can. But you have kicked off the school year with disappointment. For future years to come, think about alternate times; early moring, 8am or end of day 3pm. Warm regsrds, Disappointed Parent"
"This school is wonderful! My 2 youngest love it there, and my oldest went there for 4 years as well. All the staff and principal is very supportive and friendly."
