"Pros: small class sizes, really clean facility, the parent app gets updated frequently. My daughter loved this place and the friends she made. Cons: the administration sucked. Terrible communication. The education was severely lacking. High teacher turnover. Overall my daughter truly loved this place. She made great friends and loved being there. However I pulled her out because I really didn't like the administration, education and lack of accountability when it came to issues. My final straw was when my daughter got bitten by ants on the playground. She had a severe allergic reaction and she couldn't sleep the whole night. Just screaming and scratching. If you send your child here just know you will have to be on top of them."
"My daughter was repeatedly injured in the same manner 3 times in one week. Instead of trying to fix the problem to ensure safety for my daughter - which is a reasonable expectation when you are paying someone to watch your child- Trent “strongly suggested” I unroll my children that day after I expressed my concerns. Additionally, my daughter has a scar on her face from another injury she received while in their care. They have some wonderful teachers at the school but the new management has chased away a lot of the good teachers as well. There now is a high turnover rate with a lot of new employees. The pattern of issues seems to be linked to the new management. He speaks to people in a condescending tone and has no regard for the feelings a mother has entrusting her child’s safety with someone while at work. I would “highly suggest” steering clear of this sinking ship with a manger who would rather you be gone than address the safety of your children."
"Pros: Nice front desk staff, lots of outdoor time, a slighting more affordable price compared to other preschools in the area. Cons: Extremely high teacher turnover and academics are severely lacking. We were not notified that our daughter had a new teacher. SUMMARY: Our daughter (3.5 years old) attended Shadow Hills Preschool for under two years and had 10 teachers during that time. This facility has extremely high turnover. She was constantly being shuffled to new classes and different teachers. Two teachers quit without giving any notice. During the interim periods, two of the front desk assistants/teacher aides filled in as teachers for several months. The teachers overall were friendly, kind and caring - our daughter loved Miss Kayden and Miss Juana. The last teacher during our enrollment was hired and started teaching the class, however, the administration did not notify the parents that there was a new teacher. I found out that my daughter had a new teacher through another parent, 3 weeks AFTER the teacher started. When I asked Rebecca (Director) why we were not informed of the new teacher being hired, she was greatly dismissive of my concerns and stated that the new teacher was a teacher’s aide who recently stepped into the role. Yet, they didn’t have the audacity to inform the parents that there was a new teacher caring for our child. As a parent, I deserve the basic right to know the names of all adults who come into contact with my child, especially the primary teacher. Furthermore, I should be given the simple courtesy of meeting the teacher. This child care facility is not academically focused. The 3 year olds continue to participate in craft activities suited for 1 year olds. The school did not teach my daughter the basics. We, the parents, taught her the alphabet, numbers, colors, shapes, etc. If you are looking simply for socialization, this school will provide that. If you’re looking for academically enriching activities, or even basic academics, I’d recommend looking elsewhere. From a “care” perspective, I will say that the staff truly seem to care and they know all the children by name. My daughter looked forward to attending school here and was always happy at the end of the day. However, Rebecca (Director) seems inexperienced. Finally, due to the high turnover of teachers and the lack of academics, we decided to put our daughter in a different preschool that will provide a more stable environment with a higher academic focus."
"We highly recommend Shadow Hills Preschool to all parents that we meet. The teachers and staff are outstanding and genuinely care for and love our child. We cannot say enough wonderful things about our preschool. We are beyond blessed to have our daughter attend. As parents of a child with down syndrome we cannot stress enough how important it us for our family to have childcare from individuals who are attentive and smart and kind. We adore Shadow Hills Preschool and hope to attend as long as we can!"
"This is a wonderful daycare! It was recommended to me by a few patients and a few neighbors so I looked into it and sent my daughter around 6 months old. We had Ms. Tina I’m the infant room and she was fantastic. I was so nervous sending my newborn to be with anyone besides family, but she quickly made me so comfortable with how maternal she was with the babies. This daycare a little out of our way, but it’s worth the extra drive. The teachers are so caring and they’re attentive. My daughter is 2 and she knows her ABCs and can count way past 10 pretty accurately. I appreciate everyone who has taken care of my daughter as she moves up classrooms, we are so lucky to have found this place!! Highly recommended."
