Want to have your child's spirit broken by said teacher who told her that she doesn't care about her education? Send your child to Elm Creek. Want a teacher who lets his own personal biases and shortcomings interfere were interactions with your child? This is your place. I can't say all the teachers are as bad as this piece of driftwood because a few of them did a decent job. However, this year was one for the record books in our family. For the entire year my daughter's teacher did not sign her assignment book, and only when report card time came did I find out she completed NONE of her work. I am active in my child's education and not once was I notified of this, which leads me to conclude that he didn't bother to make sure it was done because he just didn't care. Worse were the comments the teacher made to my daughter about me, with him going as far as telling my daughter that I didn't like him or his teaching skills. Apparently this teacher is going to be pushed off to another school in the district, probably to a struggling school where no one will notice how awful he really is. My daughter spent one year here and won't be back, which is sad because my daughter deserved better experience than she got."
