"Ms. Barb has a great, small, in home atmosphere with a beautiful preschool environment! Ms. Barb is very knowledgeable about preschool development and has a wonderful curriculum for the kids. She is great at individualizing to each student she cares for including making adaptations for our daughters food intolerances. The park is nearby and Ms. Barb frequently takes them there to play and also takes them on nature walks. Ms. Barb loves art including exposing the kids to different types of art and different artists. "*Our daughter attended Mrs. Barb’s preschool for nearly 2 years* Discovering Barb was a true stroke of luck (thank you, random google search), as we had decided that the larger daycare center my daughter had previously attended for a brief period was not a good fit. It was clear, from our very first meeting with Barb and her husband Dave, that we had found a fantastic and dedicated teacher for our 3 year old. She consistently goes above and beyond, to stimulate each child’s creative side and natural gifts. It was so much fun hearing my daughter describe her school days, and seeing her form close friendships. Her confidence and social skills took off quickly. But most importantly, Mrs. Barb gave her the gift of wanting to learn- something only the best teachers can accomplish. On a practical note, her home is in a great neighborhood, always quiet and low on traffic, and close to trails and nature. Her husband Dave is also great with kids and helps with preparing healthy meals (which, I might add, routinely passed my picky kiddo’s taste test). Additionally, they have a great fenced-in backyard with a swing set, backing up to a wetland area with lots of fun wildlife. Also important to consider: The tuition is very affordable compared to the average daycare center in the area (with MUCH greater value for your money). Good luck finding childcare of this quality locally for anywhere near her rates! All in all, it’s hard to overstate how much we appreciate Barb’s huge role in my daughter’s development these past few years. The first 5 years of life is so important in unlocking a child’s potential; if you want a hidden gem right here in Maple Grove, I strongly recommend checking her out!"
