"They only get this many stars because the staff was great. Check in was smooth and they seemed to really care about the people coming in. We weren't just another thing for them to do. My nurse was also nice. That's where my nice words end. Dr. Jha was an hour late, offered no apologies and kept looking at his phone the whole time I was there. He asked how I came to be there and after I answered he just said "okay, that's all I have. Your turn". Like I had done this before or something. He had not explained anything to me about my cancer or the treatment plan. I had no idea what I was supposed to ask. He offered no information unless I asked and even had to ask a couple questions multiple times to get an answer. He made me feel like I was a hopeless case, treatment was just a motion and said I probably have 2 years to live. I got a second opinion at a different clinic and never went back to Dr. Jha. If you want to be treated like a human being, with empathy and care, don't see this doctor. I'm sure the rest of the clinic is great though."
"The staff is so kind, caring and welcoming. Cancer treatments are not easy and very emotional. All of these women were so compassionate and patient. They treat you with dignity and respect. I am so glad I was able to have such a wonderful team and staff to work with during one of the worst times. I am so thankful to have had them."
"After breast cancer surgery in 2017, I had chemo and radiation here in 2018. I had my followup care here ever since, until they turned me away May 10, 2021 when I complained of pain at my treatment sights. If there are problems after cancer treatment, they won't help you deal with them. Within days I went to another oncology clinic, where they found I have cancer. U of M Cancer Center gave me horrible after-cancer care."
"From the check in staff to the nurses that assist my infusion to the rep that helps me book my next one to those on the phone.....this team of workers is amazing! They are open and friendly, fun and encouraging, caring and efficient! I love reading the Employee of the Month in the elevator each time I come. They all know me by name and greet me with a smile. It's unfortunate - the reason I come here but I couldn't ask for a better place or team to help me on this journey! Thank you Infusion Center team!"
"Two years ago, I accompanied my mother to her weekly chemotherapy appointments here for several months. It was so relieved to find that it was definitely not the horrible experience I assumed it would be! The nurses were so kind and caring, and they did everything to make my mother comfortable. They established a rapport with my mom, and soon we looked forward to the weekly visits to continue the conversations we had left the week before. Who would have thought that we'd actually have some great laughs during chemo sessions??! The staff here are so capable and caring, and the facility itself is beautiful. I highly recommend the U of M Cancer Center in Maple Grove for anyone who is faced with undergoing treatment for cancer."
