"My dad has been a member of AFCU for many years. He has recently been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and I cannot tell you how helpful every one has been especially Alexia Parker. She has been so helpful in navigating and teaching us how best to make my father's money last. She is extremely educated and explains everything in a way all of my family members understand. Every time my father enters the bank everyone greets him by name. Recently my father came in with a caregiver that Alexia didn't recognize. Since she knows how vulnerable he is she led them in her office just to see how he was, but more importantly she was wanting to meet this new person and to make sure he wasn't being taken advantage of. How many people would do this? This institution gets above and beyond to serve their customers. I live in another state and I don't worry about my dad's finances because I know he is being taken care of !!"
"Pretty disappointed since I spoke to Matt about trying to cancel a transfer. It's been about a month since the funds left my account and no resolution. The issue I have is that no one seems to know what is going on and everyone is new and training. I spoke with a second line worker and the first line receptionist must not have included necessary information because he asked if the transfer I was following up on was to another financial institution... that was asked and answered earlier in the process but no one communicated that to Matt except me. To top that off, when the second line worker (Matt) asked I was a little shocked at the basic question and felt like he nor anyone actually listened or passed on info. He took my shock as me not knowing the destination of the transfer. In the end I just felt interrogated for trying to get my own funds returned to my account. Absolutely infuriating. Of course, this is after waiting for 30 minutes for the privilege to talk to them."
"I am so disappointed! I am new to Arkansas, and I desperately want to support local organizations; but this was a repeat poor experience that tips me to moving my money to a different credit union or bank. Granted I arrived at 4:51PM, but the bank is open until 6. All I wanted to do is deposit two checks. The atrium was filled with employees that easily outnumbered customers. I was greeted with "We'll be right with you". I was first in line. Then started the wait as the line grew. And every employee is looking at their screens or walking to an office. There is joking and joviality amongst them. And then they leave - one by one, I watch three employees pack up and leave with the line of customers growing. The lady that greeted me also left. There are still three employees left, but they are engrossed in their screens. One employee returns from a break and starts staring at her screen. I finally get called on by the only person calling on incoming customers. She, also, has to get "approval" to deposit my checks and walks off to another part of the bank for that. She then returns. I have an option for an upgrade to my account which offers me more interest, and she offers me this with now three people in line behind me; but I do not have it in me to make these people wait for the only available teller. Regrettably, this was a repeat; and I was willing to believe that my prior experience which was a couple of months ago was an aberration... AFCU, you need to focus on the customer! It's not about you, especially when it comes to wanting people to trust you with their money; and hopefully with my money out, others will follow suit; because this credit union is not there for its members."
"I went to the branch off Shackleford and Kayla helped me set up a new checking account. She was seriously so amazing and so helpful. She did it in a rush so I could be back to work in time but still made it so easy and peaceful. She was truly amazing! I will definitely be going back to her to take care of other things."
