"Park amenities include a visitors center, cabins and campsites, marina with boat rentals, horseback riding stable, picnicking and swimming areas, and ten miles of hiking trails."
"Great park. Clean and well maintaned. Nice hiking trails. Campsites are roomy. They sell firewood but also allow you to collect fallen wood. Friendly, helpful staff."
"Nice wider trails at this state park. Took the 2 mile hike to the falls which wasn't much, due to lack of rain. Flush toilets, very clean, at trail parking. There was no fee to enter, which surprised me. Very nice campground with boat rentals and horseback riding. Easy to get into Hot Springs yet out in the wilderness."
"Simply amazing!!!! We reverted the Yurt, which was the first time that we've done this. The park was almost completely full, yet there were parking spaces, and not crowded. As an added treat, one of the rangers even brought by a bundle of wood that was left at a campsite when he noticed that we were getting kindling to set up for the night. Walking towards the dam mountain trail, we spotted a few dear and head fantastic veiws in every direction. Sunrise was amazing as was sunset over looking the lake. Definitely worth the trip."
"We visited on Mothers day weekend. The place had every campsite full, but it was still very quiet and peaceful. We loved renting the paddleboats all day. The swim area was closed due to being over run with geese, but its nature and we were not upset as our site had a pier we swam off of. We fell in love with this campsite in our 4 days here and will be coming back for sure."
