"My plan stated that if I didn't select a dentist online, my first visited covered dentist would become my assigned dentist. I'm still trying to get ahold of them because they say I wasn't covered since I didn't select a dentist online... literally the opposite of what the official plan document says. Trash customer service. Was told a manager would call back and they never did."
"This place should be reported to the government for the absolute worst customer experience of my life. Crimes against your sanity. Misrepresentation. Their incompetence is at a level even I have a hard time believing. The gaslighting of their customer service representatives could be considered psychological torture. If you want an ulcer, gray hair, and years off your life, get this insurance. They deserve -10 stars. Even that would be too high."
"Delta Dental customer services representatives are very incompetent. Lacking the knowledge and experience of answering basic costumer services questions about my dental plan. I could tell that the rep. was reading from a script and unable to answer my questions about basic copays, and cost for exams. Instead the rep and the supervisor started talking to me about codes. They were not active listeners, sticking to script that had nothing to do with my question. The representatives lack of knowledge was scary. I've spoken to previous representatives in the past and have never run into this level of incompetency."
"I have been a member of Delta Dental of Minnesota for over ten years. Being a member provides contract pricing as well as partial payment for services. The preventive care coverage alone pays for my premiums. I have not needed to contact a representative as their contract clearly states what is covered. Delta motivates me to use the cleaning visits I pay for....glad I have it."
"Their new customer lines are quick, responsive, and helpful. You will not have the ability to receive help once signed up on the plan. You immediately become an expense, and the more money they deny you and everyone else the more money they get to keep. Why WOULD they answer the phone for you? Why would they ever pay on your treatments? You signed their contract which says very clearly in 100 ways they don't have to pay on your claims. They can even retract a claim they DID pay on after paying because in retrospect they paid more than they wanted to. This is called an 'overpayment', and you have to pay them with a check however much they're asking for, or be sent to collections."
