"The residents of Alvera Apartments are very lucky! I currently live in the Pivot Midway Apartments on Snelling Avenue and the Saturday Properties' Apartment Manager, Matt Little, and the Lease Manger, Chance DeHaven, are moving from Pivot Apartments to the Alvera Apartments. Matt & Chance are bringing to Alvera their excellent expertise and high customer service to residents. I am sorry the two of them are leaving Pivot Apartments, but I am happy for the lucky residents at Alvera."
"First off, Chance with the leasing team has been awesome. Very professional, kind, and knowledgeable! He also made signing the lease and the move-in process a breeze and worry free! So far I have no issues with the building and find it to be very secure. I have not seen anyone who seemed to not live in the building and the common areas are clean and beautifully decorated. The neighbors were very friendly when I was moving in! It's clean, the apartment itself is gorgeous both with views and the interior of it. It's definitely my favorite place I've lived and is a great building. I had to use the common area to work from home doing a video call and the wifi was strong the entire time!"
"Last weekend my car was inaccessible in the parking garage lift system for the 22nd day since moving-in here less than 9 months. The homeless and vagrants that frequent the building still continue- as I still have to ask the same man to leave the stairwell, almost nightly. They have been urinating in the hallways, leaving piles of feces in the doorways, and started a fire in the stairwell. Many are often found sleeping in the common areas too- rooftop lounge and lobby. The amount of noise in the building has risen dramatically lately with barking/left alone dogs, karaoke machine, residents in common areas late at night (game room, sky lounge, lobby), and slamming doors. I've seen the police responding to complaints in the building more times than I'm comfortable with now. The cigarette/marijuana/meth smoking and smell is rampant in and around the building, hallways, stairwells. My unit is now "settling" which has caused the ceilings to crack, drywall screws exposed, gaps in the flooring, uneven door frames with doors that don't close, cabinets to peel away from the wall, and the floor is wavy. I was told that this is "normal" in new buildings and that it will be addressed in approximately 18 months to 3 years, and that nothing will be done until then. As a current resident- I can attest that all of the negative reviews that were previously reported: are still an issue or concern today as of the writing of this review. The parking system is faulty and dangerous at times- causing damage to vehicles, vehicles being trapped inside and unable to remove or have access to for days at a time, or inoperable causing you to park on the street. Along with expensive at $150/month.If you're familiar with the area, there are not many accessible parking areas around the building, and it is often inhabited and patrolled/vandalized by the homeless and vagrants that frequent the building. The main door has been broken for months, allowing anyone access to the garage. My car has been damaged and vandalized multiple times in the 4 months I've lived here. The units are drafty, not properly insulated, expensive to heat/cool, no operating windows in the unit, and lack of the attention to detail that you would expect for a "luxury" building- with many visible "flaws" in the manufacturing process inside the units. The building is often dirty, cigarette butts and pet waste all over the entryway, overflowing garbages, stains on the common furniture, broken equipment (doors, locks, access system at main doors, garage door, or amenities) Packages laying around the lobby or entrances, and my dog has caught live mice on multiple occasions in the resident mailroom. There are currently many residents who smoke (cigarettes/marijuana/meth) and are loud/have loud dogs, and as previously mentioned- the insulation of the units is sub par... this will likely guarantee your entire floor will be effected by one or more of these offenders."
"I am at the beginning of my apartment search and Chance has been nothing but helpful and accommodating to my specific circumstance! he is extremely honest and forthcoming about the apartment and it didn’t feel like he was trying to sell me something I didn’t need, which was extremely refreshing. the apartments are super cute, warm, and really welcoming. great vibes 10/10"
"Let me start by saying Travis is my leasing agent and he is absolutely amazing. Kind, courteous, professional, and well prepared for the tour I took, any questions I had, and all of the follow up after the tour. I have never had an apartment search go so smoothly. Communication was great too! While some places make you wait days or weeks for a response, responses here were quick with an average wait time of about 20 minutes. Excellent experience. As for the community itself, it is absolutely perfect. From the gorgeous mural on the outside to the look and feel of their model unit, everything looks modern, clean, and high end. The amenities are just about all I could ask for and more, and the location is great too. Best of all, the price for all of this isn't absurd. This place is an absolute gem."
