"I've been at Moda for a bit over six months. A bit of a serial mover, I've lived in several apartment buildings throughout the Twin Cities. Moda has been a particularly nice experience over others for a few reasons: 1. The management team is consistently visible and highly responsive. They seem to genuinely care and know the tenants (and their dogs). 2. The maintenance team stays on top of regular cleaning to keep common areas looking fresh. Yesterday, one of them was even outside picking up litter around the building. It was nice to see care taken for the exterior to benefit the aesthetics of the neighborhood in addition to upkeep of the interior spaces. 3. The units are modern and well designed. Even the smaller ones make a smart use of space. My 670 feels quiet spacious compared to some of the other one bedrooms in other buildings. 4. The amenities are nice. I especially love the patio. The pool is small (more like a large hot tub size), but perfect for a relaxing cool off on hot summer days. There's also a fenced offleash dog run area on the patio, which comes in handy. It is especially helpful when my little furry buddy needs to potty during the night and I prefer to stay close to home. There was briefly a problem with some tenants not picking up after their dogs, and management swiftly dealt with it. Additionally, there are multiple indoor gathering spaces, including a rooftop patio. My only complaint is that the machine at the coffee bar breaks down regularly. Not sure what they can do about that, though. It sees a LOT of use, as it provides free espresso, coffee, cocoa, tea, and more. 5. There's a decent amount of free parking nearby. The underground parking garage is convenient if you don't mind paying extra for it."
"The staff is very friendly (Travis and Nicholas are sweethearts!) Justin and Anthony were very prompt and thoughtful when addressing my maintenance request! The property honestly speaks for itself - elite amenities, luxury fixtures in the apartment, beautiful views, cute resident events...what more can you ask for?"
"Pros: 1) Very pet friendly community. Surrounding neighborhood is pretty walkable and the Bark Park was enjoyed by my two small dogs 2) Clean and modern amenities. I enjoyed the gym and print services, especially. 3) Very close to I-94 and 280. Can get about anywhere within 15-25 minutes. 4) Prompt response to complaints about resident behavior and pet cleanliness, which included residents engaging in inappropriate behavior in the pool and people not picking up after their large dogs on the sidewalks and Bark Park. Cons: 1) My security deposit and rent refund were pocketed by Village Green, until I made a formal complaint. Check was dated weeks before the end of my lease, but never mailed out. It took me applying pressure on management to send my check immediately or else I’d take legal action before anything was done. 2) Abysmal communication about availability of shared community spaces. On one occasion, I attempted to rent the Sky Lounge for a social gathering of young professionals and was told that is was unavailable by Amy, but she could reserve the 1st floor Community Room for me. No problem.. except, this never happened. Day of my event, we came to discover that the 1st floor Community Room was taken over by a baby shower and we had no event space. Fortunately, the Sky Lounge (which I had been told was UNAVAILABLE) was open, so we relocated there. There needs to be a publicly accessible calendar indicating when spaces are available to avoid snafus like this. 3) Rent payment system is unreliable and does not automatically factor rent specials with monthly due payments. At one point, some residents I knew were double charged for rent, which nearly wiped out their bank account. Overall, experience was OK. It’s not the worst place to live, but value-wise I wouldn’t recommend."
"If you’re considering renting an apartment here ask for Nicholas. He’s the absolute best. I’m moving to MN from out of state and didn’t have time to come tour apartments before my new job started. Nicholas went above and beyond. Not only did he take the time to answer all of my many questions, he also sent me a video tour (not one of those annoying virtual tours) of the exact unit I would be renting."
"Good Facility, Disappointing Application Process ⭐ My experience with this apartment complex has been a mixed bag. On one hand, the facilities and utilities promised were excellent, giving me high hopes for a comfortable living environment. The location was also quite convenient for my needs. However, my enthusiasm was tempered by a number of issues that arose during the application process. The most notable of these was a lack of clear communication regarding the 24-hour hold policy. I was not informed about this policy until after I had been approved, leaving me with no time to make a decision or prepare for the move. Furthermore, I experienced a situation where an apartment was listed as available, and I applied, only to be informed afterwards that it was, in fact, not available. This was particularly disappointing and reflected a sales approach that I did not appreciate. While the facility is commendable, the process and sales tone greatly impacted my decision. It felt high-pressure and was lacking in transparency, which is important in any large commitment like leasing an apartment. As a result, I chose to go with another apartment building offering similar, if not better, facilities but with a more accommodating application process and appealing deals. I believe this feedback might be helpful for future prospective tenants. I hope the management will take these points into consideration for future improvements."
