"I moved in 4 weeks ago. Coming from my own home in a relatively quiet neighborhood, I wanted to wait at least a month before passing judgement hoping I could get used to the train noise. The staff is responsive and nice to work with. The building is well maintained. The shared features - gym, pool, pool table, lounge, and fire pit - are nice offerings. The apartment is spacious and is brightly lit. Most features are quality, but some are cheap. The dishwasher is poor quality and loud. The washer goes out of balance weekly and takes me 3 hours to wash 2 small loads. I did not expect metal window blinds or the plastic patio door blinds. There is a nice lounge and kitchen available to reserve for a larger guest list. Unfortunately, it is well sought after for the holidays. For a 55+ community, there are not enough indoor parking spots for each residence to have a spot. Coming from a home with a garage, the l last thing I wanted was to brave below zero temps with an icy lot just to go to the store. Worst of all are the train tracks on the back side of the building. The light rail and Amtrak are tolerable but the freight trains are loud, often drowning out the sound of the TV and shaking the whole apartment for minutes. These number at least 15 per day. It is like living in a train yard as they couple and uncouple, no matter the time of day. Residents are required to sign an train noise addendum noting they are aware of the train and not allowed to use as a lease breaker. I am not sure how much noise the residences endure on the front of the building, but the apartments who have to put up with this awful intrusion should be discounted for the inconvenience."
"My husband moved into this complex. Upon moving in, he received free wifi. Shortly after he was told that was just a trial and would have to obtain his own wifi. This apartment complex is about 30 feet from the train tracks. It is super loud and vibrates every time a train goes by. Now the best part. He registered his car with the office. He purchased a parking space in the garage. He went down the day before yesterday and they had his car towed because he didn't have a sticker on it. It ended up costing him $325.00 to get the car back. Not to mention the $150.00 I lost in wages due to driving him to the tow company. They picked one that is 45 minutes away. Not one of the half dozen that are closer. This is a 55+ building. What if he was diabetic and had to go get his insulin? What if he was feeling chest pain and went to drive himself to the hospital as most people do? They could have killed him. Their response. Too bad. You didn't have your sticker in your car. I would never recommend this place! They don't care about the elderly community they are supposed to be helping."
