"would give 5 stars but for new construction... I can hear my upstairs neighbor walking ALL the time. I've confronted them about this and they still are loud. Management recommends people buy carpets to combat this... which is ridiculous. I’m pretty sure I can hear them doing the nasty as well… Edit: Additional rants 2/2/23 Management staff will go into your apartment without your consent, for non-emergency reasons. Outside parking lot is neglected. Icy everywhere, snow everywhere. For $75 a month, you would think they would have better upkeep... The current property manager, Jackie, does not answer their phone or emails. My apartment gets really cold during winter months, the insultation is really bad. You're basically either staying cold through winter or forced to have a $100+ electric bill due to poor insulation. Edit: additional rant 3/25/24 I didn't want to go through the hassle of moving so I renewed a year. But this is definitely my last year here. We got a bunch of snow last night. Apartment across the street has had their sidewalks shoveled and parking lot shoveled since 7AM. This apartment's maintenance crew has yet to do anything and it's 9AM. There's a bunch of dog poop in front of the building for weeks now. That issue hasn't been addressed."
"This was my first apartment after moving out and it was horrible. I moved out before my lease ended because I could not stand it!!!! The management is unresponsive and if/when they finally do respond, they don't give you clear answers to questions and/or only respond to one out of five questions asked. I moved in on a sublease and never met or saw the landlord/owner/management in real life or even online. Weird they don't want or need to meet their tenants. There are codes to get into the building and into your unit and my code was never changed after taking over the lease from the previous tenants, despite my efforts to make it happen. I didn't feel safe knowing other people knew how to get into my unit. For the first two weeks I lived there, there were ongoing technical issues regarding the system they use for security and entering the building. There were times I literally could not get into the building because the systems were down and I had to wait for someone to leave to get in. I did not receive my parking sticker for an entire MONTH. I was paying $150 for a parking spot that I didn't have access to for the first month I lived there. I had to send multiple emails to the management to get their attention and receive the parking pass. I started emailing them about this the first week and didn't receive the parking sticker until the end of the month. I did get a refund for the month, but that took multiple emails too. I could go on and on and on about everything that's wrong with this place but I'll leave it at that. I would not recommend this apartment building to anyone, ever."
"RUN!!! RUN!!! RUNNNN!!!!!! PLEASE PLEASE listen to the reviews they are real! The good ones are fake, posted by their employees. The owner Dan Oberpriller former owner of former CPM. They rebranded due to the same issues we’re having. They will take your deposit and leave you hanging for move in details. Can’t get a hold of anyone, mailbox is always full AND THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!!!! They bill our electricity through a 3rd party JIT BLUE STAR (HUGE SCAMMERS) they’ve been charging us $150-300 for a 495 square foot studio!!!!! we have to pay it through North Bay App and if we don’t, they take it out of our rent and/or security deposit and charge us late fees. The electricity company is even worse, go read their reviews. I’m moving out in a month and half and I’m pretty sure I won’t be getting my deposit back like Isaac and I would have to go through court to get it back. SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE AND YOUR MONEY AND RUN AS FAR AS YOU CAN FROM ANY NORTH BAY PROPERTY!!!!!"
"Edit: Finally was able to get the attention of someone at North Bay. However, my problem has definitely not been fixed as none of my deposit has been returned so their statement is completely untrue. Avoid this company at all costs. I cannot emphasize enough how terrible my experience was with North Bay (at Riley). Customer service was essentially non-existent throughout my lease and my security deposit was not returned even though I satisfied all the requirements to receive a full refund. I subsequently filed a small claims court case, won it, and now look forward to receiving my deposit along with other penalties & fees associated with my successful claim against North Bay. If anyone has any security deposit issues, I am happy to provide guidance and share my experiences with North Bay and throughout the judicial process."
"If you are touring an apartment in the winter, reach down under the window unit and feel all that cold air coming in. Expect your electricity bill to be double in the winter vs warmer months. Horrible insulation. Apartment itself is decent enough, no management on site so you’ll have to call or email for anything. Car got broken in to on the street so you may want to think about a garage space"
