"Caring, compassionate staff! Dr. Daniel Kuyper is absolutely outstanding. Incredible physical therapy, speech therapy and occupational therapy teams. I have been a young-onset Parkinson’s disease patient at Struthers since 2016 and I have always been extremely satisfied with the superior level of care I receive."
"For Parkinson's Disease it doesn't matter what neurologist you see at Struthers Parkinson's Center. This is the best facility in the country in my opinion and my wife's seen 2 different neurologists over a period of more than 30 years. Additionally, all of their programs and symptom control protocols are top of the line and the newest treatment protocols available. From DBS surgery to med pumps, we've done it all on this long, severely disabling path and we credit ALL of our successes to the Struthers Parkinson's Center in Golden Valley, MN. After 30 years my wife has no dyskinesia, has reduced her meds from 7 to three and is still moving, walking and pursuing her goals thanks to these wonderfully dedicated people."
"If you only need a clinical diagnosis, then perhaps you will be satisfied, but if you are looking for an empathetic doctor who really listens and cares, then you may want to move on...I came here with my mother and at the initial meeting, I thought a little more warmth and sensitivity would have been appropriate, as Parkinsons patients are struggling to cope with some major life changes. Of course, a highly competent doctor will always trump bedside manner, but as time went on, I felt like my mother’s concerns and questions were brushed aside or minimized. In my opinion, a careless dismissal of symptoms can lead to compromised care and I wish my mother’s concerns could have been handled with more validation and scrutiny. She needs to feel safe and secure with the treatment path that she is on and she certainly doesn’t feel that way. Disappointed."
"This is a difficult place to find. If you are driving west on Country Club Drive, the clinic is on your left with a sign marked “Park Nicollet - Struthers Parkinson’s Center.” In the winter, the sign is easily missed because of the glare from the sun. If you miss this driveway, the second driveway into the clinic will be the next left. This driveway is not marked, and it is not until you drive up the driveway hill that you see the clinic. This clinic is not visible from the road - winter or summer! If you are driving east on Country Club Road, both driveways are not marked with signs that face you! It is best to use a GPS app to locate this clinic."
"Dr. Nance has been treating my husband with Parkinsons for 20 years. She has been wonderful to us as has everyone we've met at the clinic over the years. Their club create has been a godsend."
