"I’m really disappointed that North Memorial is closing their outpatient program. My care team has literally helped save my life! Mental health IS healthcare, and there are about to be a lot of people stranded without the care they need to live."
"Extremely bad. My appointment was cancelled 20 minutes prior to service. Told when I got there my practitioner does not take Medicare patients. They also refused a credit card or cash. I could be seen by a male practitioner no other female available. No rescheduling done. Not a well run clinic I will go outside this clinic. Contacted NM financial office unaware of this practice. Left a message for my referring physician."
"Edit: Dr. Hanson took me off an antipsychotic medication prescribed by an inpatient psychiatric team, told me to discontinue taking it immediately, and when I called back to address side effects and concerns with the new medication, they refused to make any changes without paying for an appointment. Rude front desk staff, as everyone has said. Scrutinize your bill, as they also overcharge, as everyone has said. They also overprescribe, as everyone has said."
"The psychiatrist I see is great. Jessica at reception is rude and doesn’t actually listen to your requests before interrupting you with irrelevant information. I had prescriptions sent to the wrong pharmacy almost a month ago. The controlled substances require a diagnosis code for my insurance, the pharmacy requested these codes for 3 weeks with no response so I called the office to see if they could be sent over or transferred to my regular pharmacy since they already know the diagnosis codes and put them on even if the doctor forgets. I explained that I’m going to be out of medication if they aren’t sent soon. She tried to say they’ve been sending them over but the pharmacy’s electronic system has been down and they would keep trying. I said no that’s not acceptable, it’s been 3 week and I need this medication to function.I asked if I could pick up hard copies then. She interrupted me telling me they have 3 days for refill requests and I’m supposed to call the pharmacy not them and that they were already ready at the other pharmacy (they weren’t). I tried to explain to her, as someone who works in pharmacy, their part has already been done weeks ago we’re waiting on you guys. And she proceeded to be rude, ended up calling me back telling me I can’t call more than one time for refills and I need to be patient bc it just takes time to have them transferred since they were already ready and said “ummm no you can’t pick up hard copies you just have to wait.” Clearly has no clue what she’s talking about but is trying to treat me like a child because I’m a mental health patient. Get over yourself"
"I scheduled an appointment over a month ago to see someone this Thursday Aug 26th. The only thing keeping me somewhat hopeful was knowing that I would get the help I needed eventually. As the days got closer It was easier for me to deal with waking up , getting out of bed and functioning as an adult should. Then August 19th the doctors office calls me to let me know that the doctor I was supposed to see decided to take that the 26th off. I am now rescheduled for September 24th. How do you expect people to believe that their mental health matters, when it doesn't matter to the clinic or the supposed paid professionals?! North Memorial has so far made this a horrible experience and has done nothing but add to my anxiety and depression. Extremely unacceptable! To the lady that said thanks for understanding at the end of the phone call..... I don't understand, it's just that I don't have a choice . You guys made it for me."
