"I got a chemical assessment done here by Jana Theisen. I told them that I drink up to a few beers a week and get drunk AT MOST 1-3 times within a year. I then said that I sometimes go months sober (without even thinking about it). They said that since I haven't gone 6-24 MONTHS without having A DRINK that I am chemically dependant and need professional help. They then said anyone who fits this description is an addict and that no addiction can ever get better, only worse. This place clearly is set up to make even the most respectable people fail. I would never count on this facility to give a reasonable or accurate diagnosis. By these standards 99.7% of people are chemically dependant addicts that can never get better. (Their words, Not mine)."

"lol don't bother. especially with Paula. If you miss an appointment good luck getting in for a month. Then they'll blame you for not calling to be on a cancellation list, except I've been on it 4 times and I've never received a call. She'll blame you like it's your fault that you missed your appointment. Didn't even give me 5 minutes to explain why I was given xanax DESPITE telling her I was prescribed it from someone else. Pathetic place and pathetic staff. Use CPC or Altru instead. And that's saying a lot."

"Great staff. Great environment. The only time I had a problem with my counselor was when I had a problem with myself. The staff will call you out on your B.S and you will dislike them for it. But it's exactly what you need. I definitely urge others to seek help with Agassiz associates. Don't resist the aid they provide, even if you don't like it."

"All good till they drop you without notice 2 weeks before you finish. As previous reviews stated, promise to handle legal issues until something comes up. Then they hand you your walking papers and treat you like garbage. Really felt like they were different and better until I needed something. Thanks Agassiz for waisting my time."

"Agassiz Associates will seem helpful on the surface until you need something of importance. Don't expect anyone from this organization to actually go to bat for you, because it won't happen. A single issue of importance and they threaten the patients and drop them, rather than look out for your best interests. You can be seen there, they will be nice on the surface, just don't expect much for results or help. They are like the neighbor who witnessed your family being harmed, but don't want to say anything because they don't want to get involved."
