"Lauren is the absolute worst attorney I have ever met. Maybe she was good at one time, but our experience with her was awful. My mom retained her to fight a harassment order. The hearing kept getting delayed, so my mom asked Lauren to withdraw the petition for a hearing and let the order expire, she then asked Lauren to refund what she thought was fair of the $5,000 retainer. This upset Lauren very much. Lauren said she was not able to withdraw the petition without appearing in front of the judge. Before we were to appear before the judge, on zoom, Lauren informed my mom that it was not an actual hearing. Once the zoom hearing started we learned that it was, in fact, an actual hearing. Lauren misled my mom and went to the hearing with zero evidence submitted or witnesses. After the hearing Lauren said she did her job and would not be refunding any money. Now my mom is stuck with a harassment order from two years of that hearing, when the original would have been expiring soon and findings on her record. Run, don’t walk away from Lauren. Find someone who will actually care about what is best for you and isn’t just worried about money. She is not what she appears to be. She is not honest, ethical, or trustworthy. Update to response: You are now trying to slander and embarrass my mother with your response. No circumstances in the world would change my mom’s right to withdraw the petition for a hearing as it was expiring in months. I have spoke to several attorneys (without mentioning your name) about this and their advice was to report you to the lawyer’s responsibility board, which is exactly what I will be doing after your response. We have plenty of evidence such as emails and phone recordings."
