"Owner is warm, friendly, generous, and shows that he has integrity. Our whole family stops by often since he has such a wide selection or will find whatever you want. Example? About 7 years ago I stopped in looking for a 2 liter diet pepsi and when I couldn't find it I mentioned it. He apologized and promised to start stocking it. I thought he was kidding but the next week he had several bottles and has been stocking it ever since. He even finds space for it in a cooler so I can buy it cold. Now THAT is stellar customer service!"

"Family Foods is a wonderful neighborhood spot to pick up staples, like eggs, queso, onions, cleaning supplies, or that ingredient you discover last minute you are missing from your next recipe, like baking powder, vinegar, or honey. However, what really makes this store special is the owner, who is so friendly and kind to ALL of his customers. From young kids buying candy, to nearby artists picking up random snacks, to locals swerving by for a pack of cigarettes, Yassin knows and welcomes everyone in the neighborhood. Overall, highly recommended! Great hours - open from at least noon to very late in the evening."
