"Pros: We were happy with Hamernick’s pricing and product selection for a residential job replacing floors with carpet and LVP all throughout our new home. Cons: It took more than 8 weeks to finish a job that could have been completed in 3 days. Install complications were exacerbated by the company never sending out a rep to assess in person despite several calls back. Instead, 4 different install crews were sent, each with little understanding of the project parameters and needing to be brought up to speed. The extended timeline and confusion made for a stressful experience. Ultimately we were exhausted enough by the whole ordeal we didn’t even ask them to come back out — again — to correct issues with the carpeted stair installation. March 2024 update: We are grateful that Hamernick's contacted us to replace the stair carpeting. Thank you for making it right!"

"Hamernicks installed carpet planks on our main living area plus marmoleum in our kitchen. This was a big project and we needed a lot of time deciding on the colors, designs, etc. John L was a big help and very patient with the project. The installation was quick and very well done, we are very happy. The overall cost of the project was reasonable and John L was also very helpful setting up a no interest payment plan."

"In August 2023 Hamernick's installed new hardwood flooring on the entire main floor of my new house, and carpeting on the lower level. This is the fourth house where Hamernick's has installed flooring for us since 2000. They do excellent work and have an almost overwhelming range of options. They worked patiently with me in consulting to find just the right products, and brought in the lead from their hardwood division to review my preferences and discuss many options with me. In the end, the floor that Jim recommended was absolutely perfect, providing the quality and character I was looking for at a reasonable price. The carpeting I purchased was Shaw, and it was the same product that I'd installed five years earlier in a prior house. Because it lasted so well without fading or wear, I decided to go with it again. The installers for these floors were different teams, but they were all friendly and professional, arriving on time, and working hard and efficiently throughout the day. I'm extraordinarily pleased with Hamernick's work, and would make only one suggestion--that they improve communications about the work progress. I wasn't always sure whether the jobs were starting and finishing as scheduled, or at what time the teams would arrive. Better use of some email/texting software could help them a lot."

"Hamenick's had previously done work for our family that was beautifully done with top notch customer service. Things have changed. Our basic flooring job left us with misaligned baseboards, visible gluing on the threshold, and a higher invoice after completion than we agreed to at project initiation because of their "very confused" salesperson. We were then told the issues would not be fixed (issues which never should've existed) unless we paid the higher cost, a nice ultimatum from the professionals. We paid the higher cost just to get it fixed and done. In this entire process we were passed to 3 or 4 individuals. I emailed upper management to express concern regarding the entire situation and never received a reply. Additionally, we were left with an extra $400 of supplies because they misjudged what would be needed. We will never use them again, nor should you."
