"I'm sure most of the salesmen are competent but I can only speak for my experience with Steve St Jacque who couldn't have cared less about my patronage to the business. Red flag number 1) he never wanted to speak over the phone, everything was communicated via email, I had to call the Plymouth office to get a callback from him after leaving a few voicemails over 2 weeks. Red flag number 2) Steve never asked the supposed 32 questions they have for every customer that would've enlightened him to my situation and ordered the correct windows. Red flag number 3) the quote never indicated a nailing flange or new construction window was ordered but somehow the assumption was made by Steve that my house is new construction (its not). Red flag number 4) I offered to eat 50% of the cost as to 'own' my half of the mistake thinking Steve being a man who can accept responsibility for his mistake would agree to. Instead I'm left absorbing the full cost of Steve's gross oversight and I would avoid dealing with this company at all costs. Thanks for reading."
"Looking for a place to service our Andersen windows was a challenge. Most places don't want to bother fixing windows; they'd rather sell you new ones. Jim from Great Plains listened to us about the trouble we were having with some of our windows. He sent us information on how to identify what windows we had, then gave us an estimate for parts and labor. He came out, fixed all the windows, explained what happened and how we could prevent the problems from occurring in other windows. He was on site longer than expected but did not charge us extra labor. He even installed some caulk on our patio window, gratis. He did not use all the parts he ordered so did not charge us for those. He was polite, befriended our crazy dog and overall went above and beyond. We were very pleased and highly recommend this business for servicing windows."
"Don't go here if you are a homeowner looking to purchase for DIY - they won't sell to you. I guess they don't like more business. Stick with Scherer Brothers, ABC Millwork, or literally any other millwork company. Only Great Plains doesn't want your money or your business."
"We had several window cranks on our Anderson windows that had gone bad, and we had a leaky patio door. I was afraid of damaging the window sill when replacing the cranks myself so I called to get a quote. I was surprised how reasonable it was. The repair man showed up on time and was very nice. He found some extra things that needed to be done on the patio door. Thankfully the price for that was very reasonable too. Now we have windows that work like new, a patio door that works like new (no more leaks or squeaks!) and trim/paint that isn't destroyed because I did it myself. I will be calling them again in the future as my other window repair needs arise. It was a great buying experience."
"The sales person I worked with was terrible - he was sloppy and lazy - Steve is his name. He left me alone in the showroom for more than 15 minutes while he socialized with a colleague with his feet on his desk. I provided him a very detailed Excel sheet with all exact sizes of all windows and doors and exact sizes of the pieces I needed. When he sent me a quote it had incorrect sizes and clearly didn't take into account the info I sent him. When I challenged him on it he said he couldn't get it to print properly. And then he said if I was offering a million dollars of business he wouldn't mind taking the time to look at the details I sent him. This was the worst example of customer service I have experienced in a long time."
