"My wife and I were at the local Farmers Market walk around when she spotted Shorty's. She knows that I love Tamales and she said that they were really good so I needed to try them. When we walked up, he told us what he had available and I was thrown back when he said 'Boudin'. I'm from the South! We love Boudin! But never have I heard of a Boudin Tamale! Yep! I'm gonna tear that up! When we got home, it was on. We sat back with Jalapeño and Cheese and Boudin Tamales. Take it from a person who lived in South Texas most of his life and has had Tamales straight from La Cocina de Abuela... These are GOOD!"
"Vendor was very nice and accommodating. Liked that he came to our vehicle, took our order and delivered it promptly. However... Tamales were the smallest I've ever seen. I grew up in Arkansas AND New Mexico. I KNOW how big tamales are supposed to be. These was bordering on ridiculous. Flavor was ok, not great, but the actual size of them (for the price) made the purchase hard to justify repeating."
"Just happened to come by these at a gas station while traveling. Was going to eat just 1 or 2 but ended up eating 6. Some of the best tamales I've ever had."
"I grew up eating these tamales but moved away in 1974. Just moved back to Arkansas and was reacquainted with them this week; felt like I have gone to heaven. If you love a good tamale, with the right ratio of masa to meat, this is it."
"They make some of the best homemade tamales I have found anywhere around the Ft. Smith area! The people that work there have a great attitude and the service is great! They also have their own sauce that makes the tamales even better!"
