"Live in MA ordered Combo DEWALT set Saw & Drill arrived today 4 days. Price and Service were excellent."
"I am out $380 because Acme Tools didn't notify me that the 2nd part of my shipment was sent so I could be on the lookout for it. They also failed to alert me when it was actually delivered and didn't require a signature so it resulted in the big shiny green Makita box sitting by the front door for the whole world to see and it resulted in it being stolen. For as long as I've ordered things online, it's been SOP to require a signature for larger orders, or at least give the option. Surely they don't expect you to be standing by the window for a week in case a delivery appears. They also chose the laziest shippers on the planet by choosing FedEx and the delivery driver didn't even knock on the door so they are partially at fault too; however, when I contacted Acme Tools, they were somewhat hostile saying that "it shows it was delivered and there is a picture of it so there is nothing we can do", but they as the shipper are the only ones that can file a dispute with FedEx and they are refusing to. I should point out that this Makita XGT tool came with a bonus battery which was shipped first. For that package, I got a notice that it was on its way so I alerted my 81 YO mother whose house I use for shipping because she's there to sign for things ahead of time and then we got an alert when it was delivered. That's how it works everywhere else. At that time, I had no tracking # for the actual tool kit and all I saw was that it was "processing" so it was reasonable of me to think that they would alert me when it was shipped but I never got anything until after a few days when I wondered when it was coming and then checked my security cameras. I really had read good things about Acme but this is my first and last time buying anything from them online. I should have went with Home Depot and have them price match but I wanted to support a smaller company, but apparently smaller companies don't have the resources to have a reliable shipping system and if something goes wrong, can't absorb any sort of hit so they pass it on to the customer. Reply to Acme: First off, you don't seem to have a review page for your online store so the corporate office is as close as it got. I deleted my local store review. 2nd, you can't just brush this off as "it's a criminal act"- of course it is, but you guys made it way too easy for the thief by not requiring a signature for an order that was more than $100 which is what most places do. As the "multiple emails", that is false. First email I got was the order confirmation. You did in fact send 2 other emails, one for the battery, and the other for the tool the next day but when I checked it, it said it was "processing". That was the last email I ever got for the tool itself. I got 2 more emails for the battery one of which was indicating that the entire shipment was coming on the same day (1 of 1 packages) so that also created confusion making me think the whole order had arrived. So why would I get 3 emails for the battery (which I had no issue with and still have) and just the initial email for the actual tool? And why would you not default to requiring a signature? On top of that, why would you not even file a claim with FedEx so their drivers maybe give a damn next time and take the minimal effort to knock on the door or hide the package? That's all on you. We could argue that each of us is 1/3 responsible for this, but at the end of the day, I'm the one who took the entire loss and have to deal with a scared 81 year old who thinks thieves are going to target her now. By the way, Home Depot matched your online price and even felt bad and gave me a little extra discount on the replacement I bought. It's a sad sad day when the giant "heartless" Home Depot took better care of me than you guys, a supposed "family owned" business. You did nothing to make this right but only deflected responsibility."
"Fantastic service from Acme. Shipped quickly. Emails kept me updated. Plus, I could log into my account and see all the updates, too. Honda mower is great. Easy setup with directions that you could follow (and were grammatically correct!). It’s easy to start with one pull. Runs and cuts grass without any issues. Bag is simple to empty. I am very satisfied and would definitely recommend this mower and Acme Tools to anyone."
"This place is terrible. I've never had any online store move as slow as these guys. Currently their site shows that orders ship in 1-2 business days. I however, am now on my 12th business day (3 weeks later) and no update yet. Wondering if it's every gonna show up. Won't be a repeat customer again, and I'll make sure anyone that ever asks about this place knows how bad it is."
"The “customer service” number constantly has 30-90 minute wait times. Confirmed “that’s normal” by agent on their receivables number that I called and was answered on the FIRST RING! Guess if someone owes you money it’s all you care about. Orders were shipped slowly and staggered heavily for a month as they have lots on backorder."
