"I would give it 5 out of 5, but I have a 2021 Ram 2500 diesel. Oil is not cheap at all, so when I see it on sale, I get it. I called them to see if they could change it with oil I bought. They said they could do it for $45. I said, "Are you sure?" She said, "Yes." I called the Valvoline oil change store, and they said it would be $76 just because it's a diesel engine. I told them that wasn't right. You do the same thing as a gas truck. So what's the difference? There is no difference. It's just your pricing."
"Currently sitting in my car here to get my oil changed, and I’m so glad this place exists! I’ve been here a few times now and they always do a wonderful job. The crew is always friendly and helpful and never pressure upsales."
"I pulled up to the shop to get my oil change, business as usual. Tell them what oil I want. Two young guys service my car. They go through the routine checklist. Lights, blinkers, air filters, and offer me a "deal." (tack on more overpriced junk) I ask how much. "Originally, the air filter was $29.99, but I can discount it to $5 dollars today." SWEET! With a $79.99 Synthetic blend oil change already discounted by $15, ($64.99) which should only raise today's services to $76.99 after taxes..... "That'll be $98, cash or credit?" HUH? You're joking... Where did all these hidden fees/costs come from? So the young lad and I start to talk over the prices, and as I explain basic math and taxes to him, he cannot explain to me why it's $98 vs $76.99.. "Oh, I made a mistake, it's actually $10 dollars plus tax" Son... Even with $10 dollars extra, it's not $98. What is this shop doing... I politely ask them to remove the new air filter they just installed, and at this point, the kid's "customer service" flies out the window. He tells the mech at the front to remove the old filter and place mine back in; his tone is no longer of a friendly demeanor. Oh well, sorry I don't like to be ripped off. I can and did purchase new filters down the road at a fraction of the cost. I pay my dues and head out. The tech assisting me cash out took my payment, handed me my card, and left. No "Thank you, come again" just leaves. (Great customer service guys!) Afterwards, I decided to head to the supermarket to get filters, less than a mile away. Buy said filters and install the air intake filter. Wow... it's ripped. It wasn't ripped before, that I'm sure of. I checked my car a week prior to getting an oil change. I checked the dipstick, which prompted me to see the "friendly" folks at Valvoline. Immediately, I called Valvoline and was told I had to wait 2 business days for them to review and process my claim.. (that's never a great answer...) Mind you, they just worked on my car 20 minutes ago. So, I respectfully follow their due process instead of returning to Valvoline and complaining. (Plus, I'm on my lunch break) After the waiting period, I was told to bring my car in to the shop for the mechs to look at it. (Surely they'll see they're at fault) DEAD WRONG. These mechanics and managers are trained to never take fault and shift blame to the customers spit out some out-of-this-world reason!!! The reason: Dust. That's right folks. Dust ripped my air intake hose... not the "gentle" care their mechanics provided while speed-running through their checklist. Manhandling the air intake case set to remove the filter, show me, install the new filter, clip it shut, then reopen to remove the new filter because they were trying to overcharge me and slapping my old one back in. Oh no, it wasn't because of that... It was dust that was on the air intake hose.... HILARIOUS!!! Folks, beware of this shop. I used to trust Valvoline with my two vehicles, but I will never be back to one. Thankfully, NWA has plenty of options. The best part was their manager trying to dispute they were not at fault because of a 480p video about 10+ feet away... Cmon now. I then asked him to demonstrate to me how his techs should remove my filter, and he declined to show me. Why is that? What were you worried about? You can't rip it anymore. Don't worry, I helped him see. I proceeded to show him exactly what motion the air intake case set makes and you can clearly see that even just lifting the case set a quarter of an inch to get the air filter in causes the hose to rip at the exact area it's ripped... Good ole Valvoline Oil Change.... never again."
"Always have had a great experience here the past couple years. Ultra convenient and the employees have always been respectful and not too pushy about wiper blades, air filters, etc."
"I was worried at first about big chains coming to our small town but what they brought with them was not just jobs but also great standards, cleaned service bays, and fast service! My oil change took less than 30 minutes, all prices were disclosed before they started, and all parts on hand. It cost a bit more but not in the long run! Check them out!! Ask Mark."
