La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham N Little Rock-McCain Mall

"The clerk tried keeping my packages that Amazon delivered. Rough rooms. Some of the guys that work there are clueless and don't give a you know what. One guy there seems to be the actual smart one, brains of the operation. Place always smelled like marijuana which I'm not against, but when my boss asked me why I smell like it and I tell him the room next to me is blazing down, he looks at me funny. Other hotels in the area may be a little bit more expensive, but way better. Great food in the area and that's the only thing that was good about this hotel. No offense to the hotel owners but that place needs a bit of work."

"Basic motel. Clean but somewhat dated. Front desk wasn't rude but not friendly either. Breakfast lady was really nice. Breakfast itself was mediocre. Cleaning ladies were knocking on our door by 9 am both mornings even though checkout wasn't till 11."

"In a day and age where technology is replacing real people, it’s nice to still see friendly faces. The entire staff was friendly and courteous but DEE STOOD OUT AMONGST THEM ALL… she made my super delays seem like they were nothing and I’m extremely appreciative of her. With freezing weather and many places the little market area was a very nice convenience. Will stay again."

"Edit... deposit finally got taken care of. Still never heard from a manager though. Will upgrade to three stars. Not a bad cheap place to crash for the night. Very dated. I'm not very picky, but this place is right on the fence as far as value vs. conditions. I guess what I'm trying to say is that you get what you pay for. They had a bland and cheap breakfast, but what saved them is the world's nicest lady taking excellent care of everyone. It was like you were a guest in her home. Give that lady a raise!! Now, guy at the desk had little to no patience. My BIGGEST complaint is that it has been three weeks and we still have not got our 100 dollar deposit back. I have made multiple phone calls and have been told "I don't know what's wrong" or I'll have the manager call you. They still have my money and no manager phone call or email. So, based on getting robbed of the hundo puts this place at almost 200 per night, right up there with 4 star hotels which this place is certainly NOT. Hard pass!!! There are other hotels near by that won't steal your money, or "Incompetently loose it". Whichever you prefer."

"This easily could have been a 5 star. The room was clean, stocked, and up to date. Bed was comfortable. I had requested late checkout at check in, as we arrived late and couldn't continue until later the next day. The next morning, around 9, I received a text about check out and selected late check-out as my response. Went to get breakfast. Sausage and gravy so thin you couldn't catch it with the biscuit, was offered, along with grab & go. We ate, put our sign on the door, & went back to bed, again, we were on a late afternoon/night schedule. Housekeeping knocked until we got up for us to tell them we were late checkout. About an back in, the front desk called. They demanded we come down to pay the late checkout fee immediately, to which I refused as the night clerk reported they would just add it on my card. Then, at checkout, the clerk never mentioned the late checkout, and it was added to my card without incident. So much for sleeping so we could be on the night shift. They also do not mention the $25 per pet fee, not deposit, until you are checking in. It's sad a nice stay was turned bad by lack of communication among staff."
