"Oh Lord, where do I start? Maybe with the fact that I worked in a 4 star/4 diamond, full service, luxury, hotel for over 5 years, so I know a little about the industry. I stayed at this location for 14 days. 14 miserable days. On my first night/day, I checked in at 6am. I was grateful to be able to check in early even though there was a $35 fee (plus tax). However, when I arrived to my room it was still dirty from the last tenant. Bed and linens had been used and thrown on floor, etc. I figured this was a mix up due to my early check-in so I let it slide and changed rooms. The new room’s door was hard to shut and the shower made loud noises, but I let that go too as it’s been a stressful time for me and I just needed a roof over me and my dog’s heads. Now to the real issues… I stayed for 2 weeks. My keys CONSTANTLY stopped working. I am aware that key fobs can malfunction when held close to cell phones and other similar items. This was not the case. They simply would just stop working everyday. One day, I took my dog for a walk and my keys wouldn’t work to re-enter my room forcing me to bring my dog inside the lobby to get new keys. While doing so, the attendant at the desk (middle aged, African American, male) literally YELLED at me to “GET YOUR DAMN DOG OUT OF MY LOBBY!” This man had been very rude to me several times during my stay. To the point that I cried. What kind of grown man makes anyone female cry? Much less one that is supposed to be his guest? Not to mention, I paid $20 per day (equaling $280 before tax) for my dog to also be a guest at this establishment. There is also a woman behind the desk (short in height - wears a Hijab) that isn’t very pleasant either. Not to guests, not to her child that runs wild around the lobby. Her attention to her son slowed down the process significantly with anything I tried to accomplish with her. I understand the need for childcare, but not at my expense, several times. The same woman called me one day during my stay to inform me that there has been a flood in my room and I needed to come secure my dog for only a few minutes. When I told her I’d be right there but I was a 15 minute walk away, she seemed irritated. I told her that was the fastest I could get there because I wasn’t running. She responded with “I guess that’s fine.” I then had to sit outside with my dog for an hour, making me late to work. I never received any compensation for this, of course. Even though the flood ruined some of my property. Since I had a dog, I refused housekeeping services but had asked them for toilet paper and a change of linens once. They were very nice up until the day I checked out. Checkout is at 11am. Not only can you hear them being extremely loud starting around 9am, they also banged on my door at 10am. I told them I would be checking out at 11am. They came back at 10:45am. I still wasn’t ready so I asked them to come back. They came back at 11am on the dot. I had just received terrible news so I was crying and requested 10 more minutes. They came back 8 mins later. I felt so rushed and so unappreciated. Mind you, housekeeping didn’t have to touch my room for 2 weeks yet I still tipped them. Let’s talk room rates. I am a Wyndham Rewards member and my room rates were showing rates in the $50’s per night during my stay, yet I was charged $70+ per night plus $20 per night for my dog, plus taxes/fees. I was also charged twice for my first night and still have not been reimbursed. The website states there is on-site laundry. The closest laundry mat is a 15 min walk though a sketchy neighborhood. Working in hotels, I know the difference in a pre-auth and a charge. I would expect your front desk to know this as well yet not a single person could tell me if my card was being pre-authorized or charged. One lady even said. “I have no idea I just know I put the card on file.” Not acceptable. Also not acceptable that sometimes I would be charged, and sometimes it would just hold funds. (I went in and extended a couple of times so I had to put a new card down a couple of times.)"
"Definitely do NOT recommend. Front desk staff was rude. The lock on the door was broken. Fan in the bathroom was dangling by a wire. All the wall trim was falling off the wall. We were sent to three different rooms with keys that didn't work and the desk clerk thought it was funny. While I was driving back and forth to the front desk to try for more keys, two police cars circled the property. This place should be closed down."
"We stay at hotels quite often, and this was the absolutely worst out of all we stayed in. The room was dirty even had a bag of chips. Someone had left there and a used wash rag Hanging over the shower rod. The tub had not been cleaned. The drapes were put together with safety pins and was not all the way hung up. They were hanging and did not cover the complete window. The heat air unit sounded like a train outside. The only compliment I can give is that the bed was made. We were double charged And yes, that was corrected. It was so bad I would not walk in there without my shoes on. When I took a shower, I even wore my shoes (crocs). I tried to call the front desk to see if it was possible to get a refund so we can go somewhere else but the phone didn’t work. We decided since it was late and we had to get up early for a medical appointment we would go ahead and sleep there. It all started at the check-in process when the dude was not very friendly. I would definitely not recommend this place."
"DO NOT STAY HERE NO MATTER HOW CHEAP IT IS. There is nothing stated until you go to check in that there is $100 CASH deposit. You can ONLY check out between 9am - 11am. We opted to stay here because it was cheap, and it was close to the VA Hospital where my father is dying. We asked for a room on the first floor as the place was empty, but they gave us the top floor in the very back of the hotel. There were never more than 10-12 cars at any given time. When we first checked in, we slipped on the floor as it appeared to be washed with grease, or someone simply ran a dirty mop over the floor. The room was dirty. Nightstands, table, etc. we wiped down ourselves as we checked in late and just wanted to sleep after being at the hospital all day. The bathroom was pretty rough looking. Had to hold the lever down in order to "flush" the toilet. We took showers and prepared for bed. When I went to get into bed, I looked at my feet, and they were black from walking on the floor. I grabbed a washcloth to wash my feet off so I could go to sleep. Again it was late so we didn't contact the front desk. The next morning, we got ready to leave, and the light between the beds flickered and noticed the cord was sparking. We unplugged it and told the front desk what was going on with that and asked if someone could come wash the floor as well as it was slippery and dirty to talk on. Upon returning late again, the light has been "fixed," and the floor "appeared" to have been cleaned. Again, I had to wash my feet before getting in bed because the floor turned my feet black. We had to wait til 9 am to go get our deposit. The front desk clerk called someone to go check our room, which was odd (I've worked in the hotel industry for many years including housekeeping and they never check the rooms as someone is checking out) whom ever checked our room told her that there were 4 towels "ruined and detroyed" and charged us $50 of the $100 deposit we left. Stating that they were ruined and we should have contacted someone prior to washing my feet with a wash cloth. I have never heard of such a thing in my life. Also stated, you don't wash the floor with white towels. I stated it was my feet from the floor I washed. She stated doesn't matter, that we should have called the front desk and they would have taken care of it.... what and give me black towels to wash my feet with, so they matched the floor color? They literally held our money hostage and charged us $50 for 4 towels, which would have bought them a whole new bundle of towels. Having to deal with this while my father is dying in the hospital was the last thing I needed. I did raise my voice. I did say things I normally wouldn't, and yes, I wasn't very nice. But they were not either. No sympathy, no remorse, no empathy. Nothing. They were just as aggressive as i was. Just could care less about anything but keeping our money over dirty towels that bleach, hot water, and soap can take care of. Along with the hotel room being what it was, the "breakfast" they offered, is you get what you pay for. Coffee was warm, and they only had decaf, pancake machine wasn't working. Milk was warm, too. All in all, this is by far the WORST hotel I have ever stayed at. Please choose wisely and know they will keep your money if you "ruin" the towels. I recommend bringing your own!!! Stay far, far away!!!!!!"
"Got bit in my sleep and my hand has swollen up and and very painful. The breakfast was non existent. When a little machine spit out 2 little rounds pieces of something you could patch a tire with, I cackled out laughing. The clerk asked if there was something wrong. LMAO, ridiculous. Dry cereal, some little cinnamon rolls that were dried up inside, no protein at all. Vending machines would have been better. Which they do not have. As soon as I pulled up there was a bum wandering around the front by the doors. Wouldn't stay here again if they paid me too. I had to treat my hand with antibiotics a sulfur drugs. 5 days later its still swollen and red and infected. Posting pictures of tire patch pancakes, and my hand."
