Holiday Inn Express & Suites New Boston, an IHG Hotel

"I have to say...this is the first hotel I've experienced in this affordable price range that went beyond my expectations in a very positive manner. I had been driving for twelve hours and desperately needed some rest when I found this hotel last night (Monday night). While I've had many road trips before, they're usually not accompanied with a good hotel experience. In part because they are unplanned stops which are last-minute and late night. So, many times I have had to take my chances with lower budget hotels when there were no other options available. But back to this hotel!...First the location was perfect. Conveniently to the highway, but off just enough that the traffic noise was not a problem, or a hinder to a good night's rest. Second, the front desk agent was welcoming, quick and professional while also very accommodating to my preferred room requests (room location/beds). The room itself was just what I needed to feel comfortable and content enough to sleep. Especially since I am one who has trouble sleeping if I am not in own bed. The room and bathroom were very spacious, as well as very clean. The pillows, comforter and bed in general were all very cozy. But the biggest surprise for me was discovering the exceptional hot breakfast this morning! This is what impressed me the most, given my previous experience at other places. They offered a hot breakfast with various delicious options to choose from oatmeal, pancakes, sausage, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs and even a veggie omelet that I very much enjoyed! They also had some other options not mentioned here. So why is this breakfast different/better than any other place? Because it was cooked perfectly; it was fresh and actually had flavor. But the most important part is that the breakfast area and everything down to the serving platters were exceptionally clean and visually appealing! If you're traveling through, please choose this place for the night if you're wanting what most of us want...great value for our money along with a pleasant night's rest. I recommend it! "The staff were kind and courteous, in particular shout-out to the woman staffing the breakfast area who was very helpful. The room itself was clean though a little old, and the bathroom was stocked with towels and such. However I will say that around the outer edge where the tub met the floor was showing evidence of molding. The free breakfast options were nice, standard fare. I really loved that they had small trays to carry the plates/cups/utensils/condiments around. The reason this visit did not get a five star review is that our hotel room absolutely reeked of the ammoniac smell of cat pee. Nothing in particular seemed to stand out as the culprit, but I was not going to go around sniffing everything. It was too late and we were too tired to protest for a new room; just suffered the night and got out quickly in the morning. We did inform the staff at the check out counter, and hopefully they will address the issue. If it hadn't smelled, the experience would have been a lovely stop over."

"First off I want to thank Judy for allowing us to have breakfast as we showed up as they closed. She was so kind! She made sure we had something warm and delicious to start our day!! Thank you ma'am for your hospitality, you went above and beyond and it was definitely appreciated! Our room was nice, beds comfortable. When we checked in the young lady at the counter was not very friendly at all. She gave off the impression that we were bothersome. Other than her mood the stay was quite enjoyable. Very nice hotel!"

"Arriving in the evening, the area seemed kinda quiet, but the room and bathroom were neat. The delicious breakfast ranked among the top three in the Holiday Inn chain that I've stayed in. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating to children, despite the room having somewhat poor sound insulation. Overall, a satisfying experience!"

"We enjoyed our stay here. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The desk clerks were nice and welcoming. Judy, the lady in charge of the breakfast was a sweetheart and very good at preparing breakfast for a crowd."
