"The receptionists, sonographers (Nicole) and nurses (Kazia, Brittany) were great. They were supportive. They were understanding and nonjudgmental if I didn't feel comfortable with certain procedures, and they were willing to devote a large amount of time to my issues. Melissa was caring, but she seemed confused at times; she told me that she didn't want me on estrogen b/c for endometriosis because it would feed the disease, and then months later, she put me on an estrogen b/c because it can help reduce tissue growth. I understand that there are levels, but it seemed like she didn't fully understand the disease. My main critiques are that 1️⃣ I was never able to see a gynecologist at this clinic (not exactly their fault since they're understaffed, but still frustrating because my issues are severe and urgent), 2️⃣ my appointments had large gaps in between them (usually 3-4 months), which would be fine if I only needed check ups, but my issues require much more attention than that, and 3️⃣ they cancelled appointments on my behalf, that I desperately needed. My insurance allows me to make appointments with more than one doctor of the same specialty at a time. The front desk at this clinic cancelled my appointment that I had made with another gynecologist in Little Rock (mind you I was only seeing a Women's Health APRN in Conway), without notifying me or bothering to examine my insurance's policies. I'm assuming that they did that because they didn't think my insurance would cover the costs of both appts. Even if that were the case, I could still pay out of pocket. They could've just called my insurance or asked me before resorting to that. They also strung me along for months waiting for a laparoscopy, only to cancel my consultation, and never bothered to send a referral to another doctor when they knew I needed medical attention quickly."
"Melissa Keeton, APRN is one of the most caring and thorough providers I have ever seen. She listens to all your needs, and works WITH you to decide what’s best. I never feel rushed or like a number when I have seen her. She focuses on your entire well-being. I recommend her to everyone I know."
"The front desk people need sensitivity training, they are rude. Even when they answer the phone you can tell by their tone they aren’t happy to be there. Though this may be due to the stress of upset patients calling only to find out their doctors no longer work there. Dr. Hagen and Dr. Tobey have both moved - leaving very short or no notice to their patients. It’s very unfortunate. Now scheduling an ob appointment here will be nothing but stressful. Especially for high risk pregnancy patients. I do not feel my concerns are being heard."
"I have been going to Baptist women clinic since they first open in Conway in 2018, I had my 2 babies there and it was a great experience. But since my doctor left Dr. Pullen I didn't get good care, the new front office people are rude and careless. It's impossible to get hold with them and even if you do they are not so useful. After Dr. Pullen left I started seeing Dr. Hagen who was nice at the beginning but since I got pregnant this year with my 3rd she didn't want to see me, I had to be see a traveling doctor who is in the clinic only the first week of the month. I had to go to the ER during my 10th week of pregnancy but when I called for follow up appointment I was told I couldn't get ok one and had to wait until my next appointment which was 2 weeks from the date I went to the ER and they keep advising me to go to the ER if I still don't feel good while the ER advice to see my doctor. I Next, I waited for my appointment and finally see the doctor, I asked for a heartburn prescription that I took with my other pregnancy, they sent me the wrong prescription I had to message them with the exact name of the prescription I needed Then I was scheduled for my regular visit appointment and ultrasound, the called me and cancelled it with the excuse that they didn't have a technician. And a day before the changed date they called again to reschedule my ultrasound with an excuse saying that they cwont be able to do the ultrasound because my pregnancy is not far enough for the ultrasound while I was 19 weeks 6 days. And that since When I went to ER when I was 19 weeks 4 days and had a 5 minutes ultrasound, just to check if all was well the baby so my insurance was not going to cover another ultrasound which was not true because I verified it with my insurance. They advice to wait until I'm at 25 weeks to do another ultrasound while I know at certain times of pregnancy it is not possible to see the sex of the baby I'm having because the baby be head down by then. I saw a different doctor at my 19 weeks appointment who advice them to make a flow up appointment for 2 weeks they nevr schedule it and only keep the one for the 24 week. I'm so disappointed with everything that is going on, I was expecting a nice health care from the doctors and the staff but they have not been great. They have been neglecting my health. There is no permanent doctor at the moment. If the women clinic is going out of business they better be transparent with us and tell us the truth so we can go somewhere else where they care more about our health. I hate that I had to tell all about my business but it's important so that if someone is about to go to the Baptist women clinic in Conway they know what they putting themselves into. And I have proof of everything that I'm talking about here it's not like I'm making up stories."
"I originally called here to schedule an appointment with Dr. Tobey and was told "not possible" by the front desk. After I asked a bunch of questions about that, I learned that she was leaving. I then scheduled an appointment with Dr. Hagen and started seeing her. I am a high risk pregnant patient and had been in the ER for most of my first trimester due to bleeding. When I came in for my first appointment with her, the front desk staff told me "go through the doors in the back to the waiting room and pee in a cup." Well, there are multiple waiting rooms so I wandered around back there lost until I ran into another patient who assisted me. I then saw on Facebook about a month ago that Dr. Hagen was leaving the practice. I had yet to hear from the office about this, so I emailed them on my portal to ask them to confirm that information. I was then told that it was true and "not to worry that I would receive great care by whatever doctor they were going to have step in" and that the APRN would be taking over in the meantime. Again - I'm a high risk patient. Why would I be okay with that? 2 days ago, I received a letter in the mail finally officially informing me that Dr. Hagen was indeed leaving the practice. This front office staff does not care about women or about babies. They are extremely rude and noncommunicative. It seems like they don't even want to work there at the front office. For them not to tell me that my doctor was leaving when I'm more than halfway through my pregnancy is absolutely absurd! Avoid this office at all costs if you can. It's extremely concerning that they had two great doctors leave in such a short period of time. It's also concerning that they did not feel the need to be transparent about this from the beginning. They should've definitely informed me sooner so that I could make decisions appropriate to my current needs. I also emailed them back on the portal to let them know I'd be cancelling my next appointment with them and going to a different office for care for the rest of my pregnancy. The staff didn't even feel the need to email me back. Completely ignored the message! I know it's useless to put this review on here as they do not respond nor do they care about what they are doing to women! (If you look - they only respond to positive reviews on Google). But I want to warn the next woman - DO NOT GO HERE! They are truly falling apart and they couldn't care less about your health. This is the worst healthcare that I have ever received and we have lived in multiple states and we have seen a lot of doctors. This pregnancy has already been really tough on me and I am extremely anxious and all they did was stress me out even worse by not communicating appropriately. This is not acceptable! I've also never experienced an office that doesn't call back or give messages to the doctor. Sometimes I'd call and it would ring and ring and ring, but nobody would ever answer the phone. Terrible! Run!!!!! Editing to add this: I also had orders for bloodwork and a gestational diabetes test. I went to the clinic in the lobby and was told they were closing soon to come back another day for the gestational diabetes, but they could do the bloodwork really quickly. I ended up not making it back before my next appointment and at the appointment, the APRN and Dr. Hagen told me that my test results were great! I didn't even take the test. So that was concerning as well."
