"My grandmother has been a pt of Dr Wrights for years. She has dementia and is a full care patient. She makes all of her regular appt, but is taken care of between three siblings, two of which are out of town, The office has been so hateful to help slamming down the phone on us, because we need refills on meds, and my grandmother is in Fla with a son at the present moment. She was last seen in Aug, so you tell me why they will not refill her meds when she was seen 5 months ago? BTW this is not a narcotic drug we are speaking of. When she comes back to town. We will be changing Drs. There is a reason He is a 2 star rating Dr."

"This is the worst doctor in Texarkana, very unprofessional as is his nurse. I had hip surgery and was prescribed gabapentin by my surgeon. When I saw Nathan, for lack of calling him a doctor, I told him my hip and leg were in and still is in severe pain as he was my pc . He told me to up the dosage of the gabapentin to 1800 mg from the 600mg I was prescribed and when I ran out I called them about refilling. The nurse said I was basically lying and that the doctor would never have told me that, that I should still have some medicine and then hung up on me. I'm reporting them to the board of medical"

"My 94 year old father fell broke his hip and wrist. He had surgery in hospital. He was discharged and taken to Encompass room 222. The hospital gave his dicharge papers to them and nurse said I could not see them. I am very pleased with his rehab. He has been here 6 days and I have begged everyone to tell Dr. Wright that I need to talk to him. My father says feels like someone us jamming a knife into his lungs. I get to this place at 8Am and stay till 8pm, but have not seen any doctor yet. They may be talking to daddy in therapy, but he can not hear or remember. Right now he gets a zero."

"Dr. Wright is a very caring and compassionate doctor. The reason for the long wait, if there is one, is due to the fact that he IS a caring and compassionate doctor! Get it? If you want to get right in to see a doctor, this would probably mean that you are seeing a doctor who rushes his patients in and out. He spends just enough time to ensure that the patients’ Medicare and/or private insurance makes a payment to him/her. I truly believe that your precious Mom deserves the best. That’s why she went to see Dr. Wright. So, while you are both sitting there beside each other, why don’t you make the best of it. This would definitely be a great time to visit with your Mom.....talk, laugh, hold hands....you know, the great things in life. What would you be doing if you weren’t waiting in the office......driving back to Dallas, perhaps? Some of the best memories I have with both my Mom and Dad (BTW, both were precious) were sitting in the doctors office and in the emergency room, yes, waiting. Sometimes, we just need to slow down and enjoy the circumstances we’re in.....like reach over and give your Mom a kiss while you wait and tell her how much you love her!"

"After coming in from Dallas to accompany my 85 year old mother to her 4 pm appointmrent today and arriving at 3:50, we were finally guided to a room at 4:45. And then we waited. At 5:25, I finally went out to ask what was going on and was told the doctor spends as much time with his patients as it takes and he was still in with an earlier patient. All well and good but NO staff member ever checked on us or acknowledged our ridiculous wait time! Here's a basic customer service hint- people are much more willing to wait if acknowledged. To do nothing tells us that you don't care at all about OUR time. We left at 5:45 never having seen the doctor or having anyone come and offer to reschedule or simply apologize for the wait. No choice but to try again as her options for choice are extremely limited. When leaving, we made a new appointment for the first slot after lunch on a new date in July thinking that the first morning or afternoon slot would help - only to be told there's no guarantee she'd be seen within 15 minutes of that slot! Hey docs - fix the problem- spend some money on training, hire empathetic and proactive staff. Something. You only get one chance to make a first impression and today's impression was one of the worst I've experienced."
