"First time visit to this restaurant & I wasn't that impressed. Not many side selections. My husband & I shared a combo plate. He enjoyed the ribs. My favorite was the cold slaw. The restaurant was oddly setup. The utensils weren't convenient to locate, again, my first visit. Biggest issue was the lack of customer service. I get that you order from the front counter but the cashier didn't even attempt to help carry my food to the table. I had to maneuver 3 plates & 2 drinks. Most assistance I got from her was telling me how to situation the plates so I could get the food to my table. Really?"
"BBQ, is not just sauce, it's the cook on the meats, the seasoning and how those flavor's enhanced by the smoke used during the cook process. - Honestly you won't need sauce but they do offer a few on the table.. I would really say try the potato salad. Order a desert and a side to go for later you'll thank me.. If you just walking into this place it's really an experience. It's like Texas kinda, it's sorta like Memphis but its every bit an Arkansas place.. They win awards for a good reason.. ITS AMAZING FOOD!! No.1 on my Top 5 Arkansas BBQ Places list.."
"Back in town visiting family, took my grandmother here and as always we both loved it. The staff was very accommodating to my grandmother's requests for non-menu items! She wanted a baked potato but not loaded, and ranch dressing / butter as a side item. Whole Hog is a favorite, new location is spacious and handicap accessible."
"Whole Hog is wonderful and my must stop every time I'm in Arkansas. This time I tried the new sausage and I tried the pork loin which somehow I had never had before. I got one of each meat for the family to try. My meats ranking starting with favorite: ribs, brisket, spicy sausage, pork loin, pulled pork, chicken. The potato salad is the best I've ever had and the only one I'll ever eat. Love all of the sauces. Got it all as take out."
"Enjoyed our dinner at Whole Hog Cafe- we stayed at the Marriott hotel and they recommended the restaurant for a quick hot meal so we thought we’d give them a try. Good Decision - it was delicious. We ordered the pulled pork plate with 2 sides. The pork was flavorful, warm and tender. The atmosphere was relaxed and the restaurant was clean and orderly. You go to the counter to order then get your own drinks from the fountain. They also serve a simple glass of wine $5 (various types) and there’s beer on tap also. They called our name and you go back up to the front counter get your food. The variety of sauces was the best - there were 6 sauces on the table and addition upon request. But the six were plenty. It was fun mixing them. Glad we gave them a try- we enjoyed our meal and returned quick back to the hotel for a good nights rest. The service was friendly and helpful. Check out all their awards for BBQ."
