"If you are going to charge this much for your food you should make sure it is fresh and you serve decent size portions… The price for a shrimp dish is way too high.. Especially when your shrimp come parboiled and frozen… Go the extra inch and order fresh or lower the prices. The service was great tho to be honest. Our waitress, Liz, was awesome but the food was meh….. I ordered the catfish poboy and it came with ONE tiny pitiful looking fillet on it.. didn’t even cover the bread.. I paid $12 for this… absolutely ridiculous. One more thing… when boiling seafood you do NOT dust the outside with seasoning… it goes in the boil water… come on guys you’re a seafood restaurant do better with your seafood!!!"
"The fries the hushpuppies were good. The seafood was disgusting the crab did not want to come out the shell. The shrimp was something you get out a walmart bag I've ate at alot of places and the quality of this place for the price is not worth it. Whoever says it's good does not have a palette of quality. Also ordered the flight of mimosas which were inconsistent in size."
"I was greeted and seated immediately. The fish had a good flavor and portion size. The Cajun fries were ok not really Cajun, but they was hot and fresh. The service was great. Cannot say enough about the great service. Live band with an unique atmosphere and tasty dessert options, which usually seafood bars fail at dessert. I enjoyed it and will visit again."
"I love this place. The menu is great and I love eating here. I think the only item you can't get carry out for raw oysters. Having been stationed in Louisiana it is a switch from Louisiana because you can get different flavors of boils...try the Wednesday special. It is delicious. I get cajun hot everytime I go."
"We went for lunch in the middle of a weekday. The place was nearly empty, only about 4-5 other tables being served when we went in. My very first impression was the overwhelming smell. I understand it's a seafood place but the odor was strong. A few moments later the smell was added to with a strong cleaning solution smell. The two together was powerful. Then I felt a bit overwhelmed by the decor - it's quite loud. There are a lot of bright primary colors and big props hanging from the walls and ceilings. It's a huge place with a stage in the center of the room and a giant bar at the back. Lots and lots of empty tables. The hostess was friendly but a bit unorganized and at one point she just walked away but didn't say anything and I wasn't sure if we were to follow her or not (she did came back). Once seated we immediately ordered drinks - a water and a drink from the bar. When she came back she said the bartender had just arrived on shift and would get that made soon. Then we had to remind her about the water. The drinks took longer than expected to arrive and we were able to place our order. I guess the lunch hours had passed and so the meal of settled on wasn't available so I was scrambling to order something else. I settled on some fried scallops after being disappointed there weren't any fried clams as I'm used to in seafood restaurants on the West coast. The drink special arrived (Bahama mama?) And it was pretty and sweet. I wouldn't order them if I were trying to get buzzed. Our meals arrived and the food was hot and fresh. I ordered the fried scallops with the standard Cajun fries and the other dish ordered was a lunch boil special that we paid an upcharge for since it was an hour after the lunch cutoff time. It was a generous portion of shrimp, à red potato and a half corn cob. The potato and shrimp were cooked perfectly and seasoned eel. The corn got a bit overcooked. My dish was cooked well also - I had to check each of my scallops because I kept feeling like they were undercooked because they were so juicy and soft still - but they were all cooked. It's impressive they were fried but still had that texture inside. The fries were just okay. There was a huge portion of fries. If I go back I will go at night so hopefully the lighting helps tone down the decor. I will also order a big boil bag meal next time because I do think the quality of the cooking merits another visit. The meal was priced well - under $35 for lunch. I think it was on par with the quality and quantity."
