"Grainger Plymouth Branch This was my first time using Grainger. My ask was pretty small. I’m basically a “walk-in” needing some help figuring out a solution to my dolly/cart problem (new wheels), assembly attachment, sizing, etc.). Asking around for direction in the area (I’m a transplant from Indiana) was going no where. A google maps search brought Grainger to my attention. A call to Customer Service (very personable and knowledgeable) encouraged a visit, insisting the sales staff would be able to help me out. My experiences with big box stores (Lowes has been the best of the lot) left me feeling less than confident (I’m used to blank stares at Home Depot). All I can say is WoW. Everything I experienced at Grainger was exceptional. I was greeted and my need was quickly assessed as I entered. There were customers ahead of me (figured this was the reason 6 people were clearly waiting for something) and wondered how they’d know when to get to me. I looked over the small showroom, sipped my water, and sure enough, within less than 10 minutes a young associate (Arthur) sought me out. He was hands on, taking calipers to the axle, noting details, and expertly pulled up options from their inventory. I really liked the customer interface. A decent sized monitor facing me showed what Art was doing from his side of the counter as he tapped away at the parts search and database. We quickly determined which wheels served my needs, and he picked them from stock. He even popped the cotter pins and made sure they fit correctly (not what I expected, but I was certainly grateful!). I wanted info on the cotter pins (for future reference) and it took less than a minute. Everything, from my initial Customer Service call to the the in person interactions were professional, personable, efficient, collaborative (between staff and customer), transparent, organized, the facility (that I could see) was clean, effectively using tech to enhance the customer experience and operate effectively (the picker trolleys I glimpsed through a door look ergonomically intelligent), such as the personal equipment and devices used to communicate, track, and locate stock. The use of safety equipment is clearly not optional. From now on, I’m going to check Grainger first. If I can get parts or equipment there, they will be my first choice. Businesses rarely impress the hell out of me. These folks have. I encourage anyone reading this to give them a shot."

"Everytime I've been here its been nothing but great service. Sometimes there's a little wait but how many reps can you have sitting around after rush hour?? When they help you they go above and beyond the call of most places. Lastly their service techs are all decent people, and in world full of angry people its nice to be greeted with a smile once in a while!"
