Tono Pizzeria + Cheesesteaks

"Have to give this location a huge shoutout. The location is normally great. Foods amazing and the service is good. I went around 6:15 for the $3.14 Pi Day pizza deal and this place was slammed. 30+ minute wait time but they absolutely crushed it. The crew making and cooking the pizzas was moving like a well oiled machine, the younger cashier up front still had a fun positive attitude and interacted with each customer. He could have easily just gone into robot mode at that point. The guy in the black work shirt who was getting all the orders ready for pick up was on his A game. So much going on and you could tell it was stressful but he was doing his best to juggle getting the orders out and helping with any issues/requests. I’ve seen places fall apart due to less chaos so everyone there deserves some major praise for handling such a crazy rush. Oh yeah and the pizza was fabulous. Still made with care and not sloppy or rushed or anything."

"First time here so my husband and I decided to share a Sunny Side of Philadelphia cheese steak and a Spicy Tono pizza to try them both. The cheese steak was huge and came with a side of fries. We really liked it, but decided we would choose a more traditional cheese steak next time. The egg made it messy and hard to eat. The pizza was good, but pretty soft and greasy in the middle, not our favorite."

"I’m pretty bummed with my experience after being so excited to try Tono. All the pictures and reviews showed great, bubbly, charred pizza and everyone raved about the flavor. Unfortunately, ours were underbaked, bland, and a little soggy. The mozzarella was rubbery and the dough had no char on the bottom. I was rung up for an extra soda that I didn’t want and told I had to get it. They also forgot the toppings on one of our pizzas so it ended up being just a plain cheese but we were still charged for the add-ons. Ended up being $30 for 2 pizzas even with a BOGO deal. I don’t think I’ll be going back given all the other options for good pizza in the cities. I had really high hopes for this one and am really saddened by the experience."

"Wow, we loved this place! Perfect spot for lunch - the pizzas are light if you split one. The salads and cheesesteaks are very filling. We had lunch with friends including kids, and everyone loved it. We especially appreciated the staff offering a replacement for a slightly burned kids pizza (which was totally fine by us but much appreciated). Thanks for a great meal!"

"I have been to this location for dine in twice so far - once for lunch and once for dinner. Order at the counter and they bring your food to your table. You can see the whole kitchen from the restaurant which is fun. Pizza is excellent, good chew to the dough and toppings have a nice light char (not burnt). The cheesesteak was pretty good as well but for me I’d go pizza. They offer a lot of free sauces/dips for the pizza. Overall worth a stop if you are in the area. Plenty of seating and a nice busy but not crowded atmosphere."
