Prior Performance

"I learned of Prior Performance ("PP") through the forums in Feb. 2023 when I bought my new Road King Special and was in the market for lighting upgrades. I saw the Baja Designs LP-6 headlight and learned that Brandon, the owner of PP, was "The Guy," and I contacted him. He lives up to his online billing of being a genuinely affable dude, a real straight-shooter and motorcycle enthusiast. In short, he knows his stuff! He's also a first-class ambassador for Baja Designs, whose lighting is unmatched. If you care about safety (being seen - and seeing), there is simply no better lighting available than Baja Designs. What makes Brandon and his team unique for the Baja Designs product line is that they work in conjunction with Forever Rad, who designed the bracket needed for mounting the headlight. The kit (and light, obviously) comes with instructions and the tech at H-D was able to easily install the system. He and the other techs were stunned at how bright the headlight is, and everywhere I ride, of all the mods I've had done to the bike, everyone first asks about the light (it's just that good)! Anyone can sell a product, although what sets Brandon apart is his exceptional customer service. He's always responsive, has a deep knowledge and understanding of all that he sells, and his personality makes him ideal for dealing with the unforeseens of a transaction. For example, I experienced some minor shipping delays which were no fault of Brandon nor PP; rather, the usual "supply chain/shipping" dilemmas we've all come to know and love over the last few years (thank you, COVID!). But Brandon was always reassuring, and honest and transparent about the timeline, and those qualities alone will have me buying from him again. If you have the need for custom work, you can trust in Brandon and the team at PP to do you right!"

"I can not say enough good things about Prior Performance. On Friday, August 21, I was driving my late fathers 2000 Indian Gilroy to meet some friends for a memorial ride out of Stillwater with my daughter (8) in the sidecar. It was the one year anniversary of losing my dad. Crusing at 60ish on 694 I heard and felt a pop. I had no more drive, I could shift, but no go. Called my friends to tell them I was not going to make it. After a few calls they referred me to Brandon and I call a tow truck. He was able to diagnose the problem right away. The final compression nut on the clutch assembly had come loose and was thrown back into the gears shredding the drive belt. I had my husband come and get me and take me to Dennis Kirk for a new belt and Brandon had me back on the road to make it to happy hour by 5:00. We had spent a great deal on making sure the bike was road ready with another shop and when they reassembled the sidecar, there was a bracket missing. The (brand new) tire was being rubbed occasionally and the inside of the fender as well. It just wasn't right. So, while i was out getting parts, Brandon fabricated me a new bracket for the fender on the side car. Unbelievable. I realize it's almost unheard of to get into a shop and back on the road in a day.
