"The absolute worst experience of my life. We had a scheduled appointment and the bride showed pictures of what she was thinking and we got nothing even close to that to try on. They don't help you put on the dresses, there was no clamps to help tighten the dresses, the lady that was supposed to be helping us did absolutely nothing. We got in trouble for trying to help pick out dresses she would have liked and were told to stop touching them. After trying on 5-6 dresses we said this is absolutely ridiculous and left. The most unhelpful experience ever. We were made to feel like no one cared and they didn't listen to what we wanted and were looking for. I would give 0 stars if I could. I absolutely do not recommend this place to anyone."

"I had a pretty positive experience with Special Event. I went in about a year before my wedding to look for a dress. I found the dress of my dreams and ordered it. When it came in, there were some issues with the overskirt ordered, but they ended up fixing the issue and making everything right! Overall, I was very satisfied with my experience with Special Event!"

"I went in for a bridesmaid dress. I got measured and ordered the dress! When it arrived, they just handed it to me and I left. I never tried in on in store. When I tried it on, it was way too big. I took it to an alterations place, and they said that it was probably ordered wrong and it was going to cost more than the dress to get it altered. So I brought it back to the shop. I spoke with the alteration lady that works with Special Events, she agreed it was very large on me. It came down to I was measured wrong. I got measured shortly after for a different dress and the measurements were completely different and inches off. When I went to pick up my dress that got altered, I asked for Jackie to pay for a portion because it wasn’t completely my fault it needed alterations. I understand most dresses are too long and need to be hemmed, but inches were taken off at the waist, chest, shoulders, and bottom off this dress. Jackie told me that she would contact the designer to see if the sizing was off and she’d get back to me. Well she never responded. I’ve reached out more than once and still no response. I would not recommend Special Events based off my unprofessional experiences."

The staff are committed to making sure you are comfortable in the material of the dress and listen to every detail or thoughts you have. They also bring out dresses for you to try on that you didn't even think were an option and then fall in love with them! I felt so welcomed and like a second family they worked with me to find my perfect wedding dress. I never felt pressured to hurry up or that I didn't belong there. They all helped me feel comfortable and happy in each dress I tried on! I would highly recommend buying your wedding dress through The Special Event Boutique and Bridal"

"I had the best experience at The Special Event Boutique. Jacki and her staff were so helpful helping me find my dress. They made the experience so much fun and I never felt pressured from them at all. I found my dress during the first visit and then went back to find my bridesmaids dresses. When we went back for my bridesmaid dresses it was very busy but we felt taken care of the whole time you would have never known the store was packed because they made sure you were still a priority. If you want a great experience finding your wedding dress definitely check this place out!"
