"This is our favorite Mexican restaurant. Crazy as this seems but sometimes when we return from Mexico this is where we can’t wait to come back to. A few of our favorite things on the menu are chicken fajita tacos with flour tortillas, The main namesake dish- the Molcajete, carnitas and Paloma’s and over the top Margaritas."

"Always had amazing food here. The orders get mixed up some times. But they are always willing to fix it. Meals come out really quick as well. We drive over 40 minutes to just go here. We miss the Buffalo location."

"Carnitas at first glance we’re daunting, looking a little like crusty deep-fried donut holes.. They came apart easily with a fork, however, to reveal tender, succulent meat. No sauce except a small side of tomatillo salsa. The ala carte chile relleno was maybe the best I have tasted with a chile that was unusually spicy, a pleasant surprise. At their Buffalo store (closed since covid) I usually ordered chilaquiles. This food is carefully seasoned and a lot more complex than many Mexican restaurants. The menu is diverse and interesting. Other Mexican restaurants I have tried in that part of the state are so-so at best. Molcajete is top-notch, well worth the trip out from the Cities."

"The food was amazing. Probably one of the best authentic Mexican foods that I have had in a very very long time. If you are ever passing by Waverly or Delano Minnesota this is definitely the place to go. The guy at the register was a little too quiet and we could not hear him and they didn't come and check on us after they gave us the food. But the atmosphere was authentic. There was Mexican music playing in the background and the inside had Mexican writing on the wall. It was very cute and the menu is a digital monitor on the wall and it is big enough to read. The only reason why I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the guy did not come and check on us to see if we needed anything."

"We really enjoy this place - the food and patio are fantastic! We really like the jerry's special burrito (level 7 spice!) and mole. Honestly, we haven't had an item we didn't like."
