"Great place to fish and kayak. Saw a lot of wild horses! Only thing to worry is they will close the gate after sunset!"
"This place is super busy and a great escape from the city. The walk down to the river is mostly sand and gravel and about 200 yards from the parking lot. People cast lures, flies and bait with pretty good success for stocked trout. In the summer, the bass are pretty active as well. The gate on the upriver side closes at sundown and you could get locked in. This also means you have to leave early and will miss out on the evening bite. The side of the park downriver doesn't close so if you want that evening bite, pick the correct side."
"This is my go to place, clear water and great scenery. Later the horses came out to eat so beautiful. Please respect nature and clean up after yourself."
"Great spot to set up and relax for the day, water is very cold even in the hottest days, I recommend wearing water shoes some of the rocks can be sharp, also for weaker swimmers the current in the middle can be hard to swim against. Prepare for a walk from parking to the actual river, and no glass is allowed at all. Id get a permit for parking before driving here the machine was not working this time, if it was it only takes card. Very fun site to swim at"
