"Monthly chemical service has been good. I’ve called about issues with our pool pump but was told by a representative over the phone they don’t offer maintenance services in our area and recommended to “shop around”. It’s also very inconvenient to pay the monthly bill. I call every month and it takes multiple calls, on hold, to get through. For a company as big as Pool Troopers I would expect online payment options."

"We moved into our home about 7 months ago and started using Pool Chlor as a service when we moved in. Everything went well, they came out when they said they would, and treated the pool effectively. We went through a major backyard renovation a week ago and a lot of stone dust and other material fell into the pool, which necessitated turning off the pump for 3-4 days. I called and let them know that the water was starting to turn green and that I needed their help to clean out the pool, maybe the filter, and get the water balance correct again. They said someone would call back within a day or 2, but no one ever did. I called again after 3 days, they apologized, and said someone would be contacting me soon...no one ever did. In the meantime the pool was getting worse with temps over 100, and algae was spreading, but they did not seem to care. During this time I wasn't able to speak to anyone other than someone in their Customer Service department and no one there could help either. Ended up going with a smaller, local company, that came out same day and took care of all my pool issues. Sales 101 - cheaper to take care of your existing customers than acquiring new ones..."

"If you have this company coming over when you are not home, you may want to re think this. We just moved into a new home and the old residence used this company. They canceled them when they left in feb. We moved in March. We have our own pool guy so we had him come evaluate the pool. It needed to be drained and maintenance needed to be done. So to get to the point our pool guy was over fixing a few things when a guy walked into our back yard ( we have a gate to enter the property and the employee of Pool Chlor knows the code to get in). The Pool Chlor employee walks in doesn't test the water and just dumps in chemicals and then heads out. Our pool guy reported back what had happened to us. He didn't say anything to the guy because he didn't know if it was something we had set up or not. I felt super violated that this guy had just come into out backyard and helped himself. I called the company to make sure that the service was canceled and that he does not come over again. The lady on the phone said hes a nice guy and maybe was just doing it out of routine. I'm glad he is a nice guy but you can not just come in and pour things into the pool without permission especially if he would have check the pool first he would have seen it did not need more chemicals. We just did that after emptying the pool. The lady on the phone said its not going to do anything, its going to get hot out so it will even out. But that's not the point. the point is you can not just come in and do this with out permissions. The lady then said let me check the books. She said i do see that it was canceled in February i will be sure to tell him when he comes in. In the future the company should communicate with there staff so they know if services are needed and also calling before coming on someones property would be great. Things could have gone a lot differently If I were home alone and saw some guy enter my gate code and just walk in. Its very unprofessional. I hope the company doesn't charge the previous residence for the service, especially since he didn't even check the levels before doing this. This explains a lot. Be sure to watch these guys make sure they are doing the service you are paying them for."

"The supervisor Lance removed parts from our pool without our permission. I found the parts next to the pump and had to call to find out why they were removed. Lance couldn't provide a clear answer as to why he did this without our authorization. He then attempted to sell me parts to replace the ones he removed. When I spoke to the owner, Ted he stated he didn't think there was any issue with his staff removing pool equipment without the customers permission. Your mechanic can't remove your vehicle parts without your permission, why is it okay for Pool Chlor to do so? In addition to this company trying to take advantage of their customers, they also failed to clean our salt cell on a regular basis which caused my pool to turn green. I don't recommend Pool Chlor at all as their service is poor, follow-up is terrible and they clearly don't operate with any level of ethics."

"Just started with this company about a month ago and they haven't disappointed yet. Our pool has never looked so good and their price is amazing. My husband used to buy Leslie's chemicals because they worked the best and he was putting them in every week. The pool looked great. Pool Chlor only comes every 2 weeks and you can definitely tell the difference and we're spending less for the service than we were buying our own chemicals. On one of the last visits, the pool guy even took the time to trim one of our palm trees thats fronds were hanging in front of our pool gate. Great company. I highly recommend. Thank you Pool Chlor!"
