"I highly recommend you DO NOT order from Ryan’s pets if you are purchasing anything you may have to return. I have had no issues with shipments or purchases; however, my return experience has been awful. They have terrible customer service as there is barely any communication. I had to email them 3-4 different times just to get a single response and start the return process. The process to return a single item took over a month and is still going on. They give no confirmation of anything they are doing and have given me one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. They have had the item for almost two weeks now and I have not received any word or my money. I had to email again just to know if they were even still processing everything. I will never order from them again."
"On a regular basis Ryan's will sell you an item they don't actually have in stock then just not ship it with your order. No notification or anything, you just have to figure out that you didn't get it. As a business that frequently makes huge orders this is extremely annoying. They've been doing this for years, so it's not like it's a fluke and they've had ample time to fix this. Ryan's, please do better."
"I ordered shear from Ryan's, ordering and shipping had no problem. Opened package and the shear seems like used/refurbished. I paid full price and received used shear?! I emailed and asked if it was used/refurbished? If I can get brand new shear. Replied no answer to if shear was used/refurbished, just told me to send it back. I really don't know how this company is doing their business and probably will not use again. Grooming tools are not cheap and it's our investment... This company obviously have no pride in their work."
"I own a small grooming shop and have used Ryan's in the past for supplies. I was always fairly happy with them. Shipping was fast. I decided to order my shampoo from them since the one I wanted was out of stock elsewhere. I ordered on 12/31/23 expecting a few days delay for new years, so shipping would be on the 4th or 5th at the latest. Waited until after then and sent an email, never heard back, sent another, another, and another then finally just called. They said my order was delayed due to being out of stock in Phoenix so it'll come from NJ. Not one person responded to my emails to let me know until after I called. I was told order the phone and in the email, I'll get my order in 3 days. I won't get my order for another week according to the tracking info that was just created yesterday. That's 3 weeks to ship an order. No communication until I was too frustrated to wait anymore. I ordered with plenty of time to restock, but I ended up having to buy extra elsewhere just to get through until my order comes. I guess they aren't as good as they to be? I don't know, none responded or shipped my order until it became a complaint."
"I’ve always had great transactions in the past with Ryan’s but this last one left a sour taste in my mouth and makes me hesitate to ever order grooming equipment from them again. Ordered some cordless clippers from them as my current set of corded ones are struggling to function and I know Ryan’s shipping has always been fast for me. They were delayed from a snowstorm but still arrived within the week. When I finally got them, I opened the box to find the 10 blade missing and the cord and instructions kind of awkwardly shoved inside. Upon inspecting the clippers they had dog hair jammed all into the housing and blade lever. Definitely used. I attempted to charge them and they work plugged in but do not charge or hold a charge. Either someone swapped their broken pair for a new one and returned them and no one at Ryan’s inspected the return, or they’re straight up stocking used items and selling them as new. Either way, I’m out a set of clippers and hoping my old set can hang on until I can find another replacement as now these are out of stock at Ryans and they could only offer to refund me. The customer service rep I spoke to was great in terms of getting me a return label and initiating the refund process at least. But I’m very alarmed to recieve obviously used equipment and will likely no longer be buying shears, stripping knives or clipper gear from them."
