"I had felt unsure about the school after seeing reviews on Reddit and here. I decided to take it upon myself and went to look at the school. I was excited to talk with the students who are doing well. I'm realizing that bad reviews are most likely disgruntled students who are just not able to make the transition into healthcare as easily. I've been teaching medical assisting and worked in numerous healthcare settings. From what I saw this is a legitimate program and they are doing their absolute best to teach students exactly what's expected to become a nurse. I think it is beneficial for students to actually check out the program for themselves and be realistic in their abilities to transition especially if you're going from a non-science/medical bachelor's degree and going into the DE-MSN program. I'm lucky to have a pre-med background and medical assisting under my belt...so I already understand how difficult it will be. I think with all things, you will get what you put in. If you're expecting it to be easy, then you're fooling yourself. As far as the school goes, everyone was really friendly and the instructors all seemed so knowledgeable and professional! They will have their very first cohort graduating this May. The school is fully accredited and they have some really neat rooms with these robotic mannequins to practice patient care. I like how the instructor to student ratio is, they said it's usually about 10:1 max. I really love that! (Considering it was a 20:1 ratio when I was teaching medical assistants, that's excellent) I also got to learn about their different classes and what to expect. I didn't get pictures of anything in the rooms because I didn't want to be rude. I really enjoyed talking with the older students who have already been in the program and they were extremely positive. I love the advice they gave to the students coming in. The second cohort was so friendly and they are really a close knit group that have become friends. I also really loved hearing about all the experience the instructors have being nurses in the field. They are all so intelligent and accomplished which makes me feel confident in their abilities to teach me. I have been speaking with the admissions representative Tracy and she's been so amazing and helpful. She has talked with me through the entire process and I feel really supported on my journey since I decided on going back to school in my late 30's. I am hoping to start this fall! My fingers are crossed everything goes through financially and I'm able to attend this awesome school!"
"HUGE red flag about this school accreditation. Don't be naive and search with prudence."
