"We visited for the first time today, and it was amazing! The volunteers are all very kind and helpful. We were told that they sometimes do events/activities, so we will absolutely be back!"
"I came here to see the grave of the Lost Dutchman. His grave is near the edge of the graveyard and as such, one can view it from the sidewalk on the other side of the fence. This memorial park lost a star because, unfortunately, the area is quite sketchy and run down and certainly not conducive to those with small children, especially after the sun goes down. I am traveling solo and was accosted by a nefarious individual which tampered my positive experience of this place."
"I had to call for an appointment to come into the cemetery. Very delicate headstones, heavily damaged by wind and sand, but a lot of history! The Dutchman of lost-gold fame is buried here. His grave is very easy to find, the last one in the back corner."
"Friendly, enthusiastic, and informative volunteers made the trip here very rewarding. We found some Buffalo Soldiers resting here. Definitely worth visiting."
"I heard about & waited for a week for the open house (gates unlocked) & went! I sure am happy that we did! Finally I was able to track down "the Lost Dutchman" & inquire about some certain items. Met an enthusiastic staff, did the scavenger hunt, & had a GREAT time! Quite interesting to view the headstones & symbolism. Looking forward to another open house! Brochure says "open Thurs 10-2pm, BUT I wouldn't count on it. I would look @ Assoc. Facebook page (they're mostly volunteers!) Quite interesting Side note: Re: "Dutchman" You'll just have to read about me in the newspapers! LOL If you get the time & are in to pioneer cemeteries...Go! it's interesting."
