"I met Dr. Stewart under very stressful circumstances. A routine colonoscopy discovered a large mass in my ascending colon. During my initial consultation, Dr. Stewart patiently guided me through all of my available options and discussed the pros and cons of each of them. After we made the decision that surgery was the best option for me, he explained in detail all the possible complications, how to minimize each and the plan of action if one occurred. Before surgery, he kept in contact making sure that all of my questions were answered. After the surgery, he stopped by my hospital room every day. His team was up to speed on all the information. I did experience a minor complication. During that time, Dr. Stewart checked with me several times a day and was always within a reach. I am very grateful for his guidance and care through this difficult time."

"My experience with this Doctor is the MOST DISTURBING I have ever been subjected to. He purposely invited his entire staff into the room as he publicly ridiculed me, went over my PRIVATE medical background, belittled me, and offered NO EXPLANATION for the personal attack. I suffer from sleep apnea and the stress of the attack triggered a multitude of the apnea episodes. I was not able to complete sentences or a train of thought. Evidently he and the staff were DELIGHTED. When I left a staff member made insulting remarks to me. I am left bewildered as to what or why what just happened. I do know there was some interrogation as to WHY I was receiving VA benefits. I do receive ChampVA but I am not sure why this would be a concern of his or why I would need to explain it to him. He stated since I became rattled that it was obviously a sign that I was suffering dementia and he wanted his staff to observe. Just prior to my doctors visit I had another automobile almost cause a terrible accident that would have caused me great harm. I was a little shook. NO EXCUSE for him. I would suggest his field of expertise best served as a Greet Person for Walmart. Perhaps there he can find compassion and a sense of service. I am still waiting for an APOLOGY and also being informed that the disrespectful staff member has been disciplined by releasing her from her employment and NEVER to be employed again by any Banner Affiliate."
