"I am a former graduate 2004... I had a rocky start to highschool as public school wad not for me. I ended up at Desert Hills and even through messing up my freshman year and being a pregnant teen they motivated me every day to push my limits. I graduated on time and the top of my class. I recieved a presidential scholarship. If it wasn't for the teachers and office staff I would have dropped out and for the school leader at that time that was not an option for him he said he wasn't going to let me give up on myself for the sake of me and my child. I have them to thank for not only not giving up on me but not allowing myself to give up on me. If we lived closer my teens would be going there next year... But they will be attending Apache Trail High another Leona Group School closer to us. Thank you for leading me to be the successful person I am today. I am now a director of a preschool and definitely got my passion to impact children's lives from the staff at Desert Hills."

"The teachers, administrative staff, assistant principal and principal are all such caring individuals. They give our daughter one on one instruction. She gets counseling to help her grow in her study skills. They added an art class and music to after school activities. The teachers provide instruction in a way that my daughter can learn. The block program is the BEST! She can focus on only 3 subjects and is able to get good grades that way."

"This was one of the worst schools I have ever gone to. They make it seem so nice and welcoming but I promise you it is all a joke. The school is honestly so ghetto. They have no good programs. Please don't waste your time here, take your kids to a regular public school. My entire math class here was watching Breaking Bad for 2 blocks. They trap you in with their block schedules so it makes it impossible to try and leave half way through the year."

"My children go to this school. I am excited my girls will graduate already having a few college classes already! I love the opportunities they have had in student council but it seems many of the responsibilities that were teaching them to run a business are being taken away. I hope they get the yearbook back on track and I cannot wait to see prom and graduation. The website is looking much cleaner but still not as functional as it should be for a Leona company that has been around so long! Great GREAT staff right now. It seems the teacher bullying my daughter has stopped and that the new school leader is on top of things. I am sure any admin kinks will be worked out by the time my next kids comes through!! I really love how they are arranged academically at this school with blocks and I hope they offer the college courses they promised soon! GO COUGARS!"
