"Horrific school! They do not keep up on current laws. They do not keep up on current medical treatment and how to respond to health issues. They have policies that openly harass families and humiliate students. When staff to include the 'dean of students' and the principal are advised of bullying they state they will 'talk' with those involved and NOTHING happens! Do not be fooled by this school."

"I am new to Eduprize this year. I have 2 children attending middle school (6-8th grades). I chose this charter school due to its promise of excellence and was going to be the best fit for my children academically. It's location was great for the commutes in the morning and seemed like a nice campus, everyone friendly and helpful. My kids are coming from a private school and as a single parent wanting best for my kids, I chose to put them in a charter school so they can pursue additional extra curricular activities (after school sports clubs; they are not cheap). I chose to allow the kids to go to what is called an 'A+' school for academics thinking that they would still be challenged academically along with being able to do sports afterwards. They are not being challenged academically at all. My oldest child is in honor's program (was accepted due to her straight A's and high testing scores from private school) and is receiving 100% for her final grades. She is so bored and frustrated she comes home everyday complaining. She complains about the behavior's in class and how the HONORS students are so disrespectful to their teachers it makes the teacher's cry. There's constantly kids not within dress code as well. She said the teacher's cannot explain fully what they are teaching and come to class as though they had not prepared fully for their lessons. My youngest child in math has somehow fallen so far behind (which he was getting A's in private school) as he is so confused and being told he is in the lowest level math. He's confused on the method of teaching as she doesn't teach from curriculum and also teaches about so many ways that he doesn't know which is best. (Unfortunately my child is living PROOF of common core curriculum being terrible and needs to be replaced immediately!!) Feedback is slim to none from the teacher after repeatedly asking for her help throughout the quarter. She will copy and paste information she has previously given to you (even though we tried the 1st time and doesn't help); she will not offer any new helps, assistance, etc. I was told yesterday (last week of quarter) that he is struggling too much. Of course I knew that! He has been saying that since few weeks in and have set meetings after school, I help him every night and on the weekends! I work in the financial industry and I like to think that I have strong math skills. I help him after school and he has no problems with me. He goes to school and comes back confused and lost everything we had gained at home. They hold parent-teacher conferences at the beginning of the Quarter! Why? They don't know anything about that child or their grades yet.... Shouldn't it be at the end to truly assess the needs of the child? They give only 10 minutes per child for ALL classes combined. How is this even ok? You cannot go over anything in 10 minutes. The teacher's are baffled if you go in with a plan of what you want to talk about regarding your child. All they want to do in that 10 minutes is chit chat about the weather and other niceties. Not your child. They scramble and are unsure what to do or say if you do ask them specific questions pertaining to your child. Overall, the school is safe. Everyone is friendly. Academically speaking it is extremely POOR. The response time for teachers is 48-72 hours if your lucky about YOUR child. I chose charter so I didn't have to deal with the public school mentality, but that is exactly what you get here. It's very sad if this is what is considered great. I do not believe I will send my children back next year; but as I have committed to this school and constant change is not good for a child nor is escaping when times get rough a good example for my kids. We will stay the course this year. But I do not recommend - unless you are coming from a public school. Then perhaps you will like it."

"My kids and I love this school!! I make a pretty far commute for my kids to go to this school and its worth every mile. Teachers are the best most caring! Staff is Amazing!! They take the time to get you know and your child personally. There aren't enough stars for this school!"

"Okay. Well, I’m really not sure where to start. Yes, I am a student. No, I am not a student who is leaving a bad review just to mess with school or something stupid like that. I just recently left EduPrize. I have been there for 11 years in total and I started in Kindergarten, so I like to think that I know the school pretty well. The kids there are good students and are kind for the most part. The teachers are great educators, there have been bad teachers, though. But, hey, that’s expected, things like that happen. Overall, if you’re strictly into education and preparing your child for college, I suppose this is the school for you. But be warned, this school can and will be very sneaky if it’s for their benefit. Dr. Lynn Robershotte is not any sort of “Leader of the Year”... she’s far from that. Every single time we have a school assembly or something of that manor, she uses the same exact speech of how she started this school with a small dream... or something. She does know what she’s doing, though, for both good and bad. She got us to be an A+ school, so I guess that’s a good thing. But, she was recently caught misusing tax credit donations. Instead of having people choose where they would go, the school took them and used them for whatever they wanted. You tried, Lynn, you tried. I’m an all honors student, on the Distinguished Honor Roll, I get good grades (generally A’s and B’s), and I was even nominated for the NHS. So, I’m sure you can imagine my surprise when I was told that my first year of Spanish did not count. I took 2 years of Spanish, one in the 9th grade and one in the 10th. My 9th grade year didn’t count as a class but as an elective, I was not told this until recently. So here I am, it’s summer break, and I’m doing 3 or more hours a day of summer school for a class that I have already passed. This is looking like it will take up my entire break and I will not be able to do much but school work for these next few months. Needless to say, I am very, very frustrated… And sadly this is all EduPrize’s doing. They don’t know how to run a high school, and now all of my classmates and I are paying for it. Please, if you are thinking of sending your child to this school, take my words into consideration. Thank you."

"My husband and I were very disappointed with their curriculum and promises of excellence. My 2nd and 4th grader came from Benjamin Franklin Charter Schools and found Eduprize's curriculum boring this year as they had already done the Math, English and Science projects the previous year at Benjamin Franklin. There is nothing wrong with Eduprizes curriculum is just not as accelerated as what my children had previously experienced. Its funny to me parents rate Eduprize so high but I guess maybe if their children have been at Eduprize since K or 1st grade there is nothing else to compare it to. The teachers are nice and activities but the curriculum totally lacks the challenge our youth needs. I have withdrawn my children from Eduprize and will go back to Benjamin Franklin Charter as of tomorrow. My best advise to parents: Don't go with the ratings online, do your homework and see what the actual school curriculum is and good luck to you!!"
