"Teachers aren't horrible, but even in the IB program extremely few courses (particularly in math and science ) provided any challenge. They are also the only IB high school in the state that lacks computer science HL, Further Math HL, and Physics SL."

"Great school for my two boys. There are so many programs offered like AVID, Evit, advanced AP, dual enrollment and so much more. The teachers are great and if a student is willing to educate himself, he can achieve success anywhere he goes."

"Most of the teachers are really good, they're passionate and some strict to help you move up. The Westwood spirit is sadly dying though. That's one thing I don't like much. The food is great! Not bad campus. You don't have to worry about the students for they usually mind their own business, but it is possible to find good friends there. I went to Mesa high and west high so I have to rights to say it. Haha"

"Absolutely my favorite high school before I was torn away and sent to Barry Goldwater. Fry bread on Fridays, made some awesome friends, and I actually wanted to do my schoolwork because the teachers were so helpful and caring."

"After spending the day in Westwood High School, I would say thumbs up. the teachers appear passionate about what they are teaching. I was impressed that as I walked the halls in different buildings that these educators are highly educated in their subjects. On the outside of their rooms, they display their level of education and its respective major; most of them are at Master level education and some Doctorate. The students seemed to be engaged. The paraprofessionals were very helpful. The lunchroom offered a filling meal. A FILLING meal! The campus is wide spread, like a community college campus. The security on campus appeared to be very alert without the hostility that comes from their line of work. Even their IB program is inviting. I wished this was around when I was in school. Overall, an enjoyable experience!"
