"Been there twice, last summer in August.. it was pretty miserable in the heat so we went last week and took friends. It was a fun and very interesting visit that I'd recommend... we ended up eating over at the landing in Lake Martinez but next time we'll pack lunches and have a picnic at the mine... there were 5 rattlesnakes spotted when we went so be prepared and be safe as it's a long drive to a hospital and I forgot to check if they stock antivenom for an emergency."
"Lots of history here. The drive out to the town is a very rough (washboard) gravel road, so beware. The town is amazing, but. An also be a bit confusing, despite the I'm weed buildings and audio self tour website. There needs to. E a map of the grounds, so parts don't get missed. The cost is $20/adult, and cash is king."
"This place is awesome if you like old West mining towns! Don't try to go in bad weather, the last 7 miles is on a rough dirt road. On a sunny dry day our Elantra made it just fine. Bring cash to get in. It was $20 per person which is a fair price considering all the cool stuff to look at. I loved this place!"
"Highly recommend. This is a great place to visit to learn about the early life of someone working as a miner. We were able to go directly into the mine, which was awesome. The buildings were cool to see. Driving the long, dusty gravel road does come to an end."
"The volunteers here at the Castle Dome Mine Museum were very helpful and friendly! We had a great time touring the mine and seeing all the displays! I highly recommend a visit to the Castle Some Mine Museum if you're ever in the Yuma Arizona area!"
