"Wonderful stroll around very interesting grounds. Buildings were locked, so we could not go inside ."
"The Mission was established in October 1780 and destroyed on July 17, 1781. In 1850 it became the site of Fort Yuma. The Saint Thomas Indian Mission was reactivated in 1919. The current church was dedicated in 1923. The Fr Garces Hall was hall (at the north end) was completed in 1940 and Dedicated by Bishop Buddy, Bishop of San Diego."
