Challenger School

"I went to this school and to be honest the teachers and the teaching is really good and I appreciate a lot all the people that helped me learn. What I hated about this school is the students. This school is filled with drama and bullying. My mom had to withdraw me of that school because a girl that bullied me and her group of friends wanted to fight me and I was not gonna let that happen. Now I don't know what school I'm gonna go to for the rest of the year."

"Rating them a 1 because you can't leave a 0, is generous. This school is the most ghetto school my sons ever had the misfortune of attending, only because it was their home school. Withdrawing them was the best thing I could do, after 2 1/2 long grueling years here. Staff seems to be very unqualified and as if they're everyone who's applications were rejected at schools with great reputations, especially the so-called principal and assistant principal. The man hides everytime and lets the woman do his dirty work. They allow bullying and tell you they're kids and it's nothing they can do about it. I've never dealt with such incompetent, uncaring and moronic individuals in a school setting, as a parent. Constant lockdowns, police presence daily, teacher went postal after years of working there in which swat had to come remove him, teachers telling students their personal business and walking around depressed etc etc. Definitely would tell anyone inquiring about this school to run the other way."

"Worst school I've ever been to, the staff that I had never did anything when someone was bullying you but would still recommend you "Tell a Teacher or Supervised Adult" when none of them did anything to prevent or stop the situation, some staff would seem like either Illegal Immigrants because they couldn't speak English AT ALL or People with Different Roles (Cafeteria, aid, etc.) and put in the spot of a teacher, I had a teacher literally tell me that she wasn't getting paid as a teacher and is now going into an online college so they can really become one. Please consider a different school, you and yours kids will be happier in the long run."

"I love challenger I went there when it was only 7th and 8th grade the teachers were awesome and the junior high experience was amazing. It was a great environment for students and staff. They made you feel like a actual high school student with the lockers, P.E. lockers and having to dress down for P.E. as well. I loved the fact that we had electives such as home economics and wood shop and ceramics. Also the food was great during that time but then again were talking 99-00 school yr I hate to see it go down."
