"Dr Rivera and some of his staff could use some help on becoming more proficient at how to research treatments, or becoming humble enough to simply reach out to your current doctor. His initial response was to deny seeing my wife as he “wasn’t comfortable” with the treatment she was receiving. His nurse navigator ended the call with would you like another oncologists number. The information about here treatment is clearly stated in the NCCN guidelines. I did reach out to KRMC patient advocate services. These people are AMAZING. While I do not wish to have this man treat my wife, the advocate service was responsive and within 24 hours had worked with the nursing director of the cancer center to put this information in front of him, and get him to agree to the treatment. I hope perhaps he learns a little humility from this. As to the rest of the KRMC care team, I can not say enough good things."

"I had a call from a support person to go through the next steps. She left me her contact information in case I had questions. Once my first appointment came the front office was very pleasant to work with. Dr Rivera has a very good bedside manner. He explained everything in detail. He asked if I had any questions. They got me in quickly. Excellent oncologist."

Update: 10/17/23. After almost a year, I still give Dr. Rivera 10 stars. You will never find a better oncologist! Thank you to the entire KRMC family for everything you have done for us. Kingman may be a small town, but their kindness and family values go a long way."

"This office sent my Mom home, after letting her know she in fact had cancer on her lung, covering her kidney and in her bones, WITHOUT ANY PAIN MEDS. When we called to ask why, my Mom's "advocate" Jaime, said that my Mom said she was OK.?! She literally had just found out she had cancer and may have been a bit caught off guard. Idk, just an assumption. This cancer center seems to not give a F about patients and seem very cold. They should not be working in a cancer center if they can't handle upset family members. I do not recommend this place to anyone!"
