Legacy Traditional School - North Chandler

"The ONLY good thing is the academics, but it comes at a cost. I worked in the cafeteria this last year and watched the preschool teachers leave milk, cheese sticks and apple slices out at room temperature for an hour before trying to serve them to the preschool kids. The scheduled outdoor time was 10-10:30; they were only taking them outside from 10:15-10:30. That is not nearly enough time! (Both the snack and outdoor time were corrected after multiple complaint emails) At the beginning of the year the aides used whistles and a megaphone in the cafeteria to get the students attention. The aides would blow the whistles and megaphones directly in some of the kid’s faces. I would watch the children duck their heads to try and get away from the noise. It only took 3 complaints for someone to respond to my email to get those taken away. The aides started screaming at the kids since the whistle/mega phone was taken away. They scream, they yell, they are rude, disrespectful and degrading to these kids. I have complained soooo many times, but the principal and vice principal do not seem to care. Also, at the beginning of the year Shakima Brown and Brie Tucker decided they could charge me $32 without my permission for child care that I was under the impression (miscommunication on the schools part) that was free. I feel as if they stole money from me because I was not informed about the charge and was not given the opportunity to say NO I don’t want to be charged I will take my kid instead of leaving him with you. Prospective Employees: Don’t do it! The health insurance is AWFUL, the PTO benefits are AWFUL. The support you should get from upper management is nonexistent."
